From the second iteration of our event, girls had a direct entry to any and all girls’ teams and the best performing girls’ team received special prizes and swags from Hack in the North. And we took it a step further from North 3.0, and reserved 20% of the seats for female participants.

What is the criteria for participating in the event?

Ans. The only criteria is that the participant should be a student and not a working professional.

Is it a theme based event?

Ans. No, the event is not theme based. However, we have special prizes for teams who build something based on custom problem statements.

Can we register as a team? If so, how many members can a team have?

Ans. Yes, a team can have 2 - 4 members.

Will there be participation certificates/goodies?

Ans. Yes, participation certificates and goodies will be rewarded to all the participants.

Is building on old projects / submitting past projects allowed?

Ans. We encourage you to submit projects only prepared in the duration of the hackathon. However, if you decide to submit an existing project then check out our code of conduct.

What is the registration procedure?

Ans. Registrations will take place at Devfolio, one has to fill a form to register for the event.

How can we get updates?

Is the hackathon open for people from all over the world?

Ans. Yes, students from all around the world are welcome to participate.
