Good Deal Super Buffet was a disappointment. We had a discount coupon thathad been delivered to the house, 20% off for adults & 30% off for seniors.We presented it to our waitress when we arrived. We had Jasmine Tea, 1 potis 98 cents if 1 person drinks it, if 3 people share this pot of tea they each have to pay 98 cents. This was one of the special drink offers.Bubble Tea was $2.99 instead of $4.99 at this time. We ate our dinner,it was quite good. Desserts were poor to fair. There were 5 of us, 2 adults & 3 seniors, when the bill arrived we received a discount of 20% on 2 senior dinners. Our waitress who unfortnately for her & us didnt speak english very well had to go from our table to the manager at least 3 times. I'm not sure why the manager didn't come to our table. In the end, we got a 20% discount on 3 dinners & were charged full price for the "special drinks". None of us were very impressed.gerry.rate@sympatico.ca This place uses WAY TOO MUCH liquid smoke! Either that or the chef was smoking while he cooked the meal. I ordered Chicken Fried Rice, Singapore Noodle, and Deep Fried Chicken Wings Oct 31/07. The wings were the only thing I could eat. I had a little bit of the rice (only because I put tons of soy on it). I couldn't even touch the Singapore Noodle. Liquid smoke is used in BBQ sauces... and even there I can't stand it. To me it tastes like cigarette butts. It's so repulsive.If you hate liquid smoke stay away from this place. If however you like your food to taste like an ash tray, then this is the place for you. the food is very tasty, especially the various seafood dishes, the service is good, and the price is very reasonableIt's AWESOME!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!Super Buffet was THE WORST restaurant experience i have ever had. I had decided to treat my family there for a nice birthday dinner last night and the food was absolutely disgusting and the service was just as bad to match. After getting the cheque I decided to speak with the manager because I have dined there once or twice before and I was surprised to see how gross everything was. I had asked her why there was almost no food out and why the limited stuff that was out was not appetizing at all. She basically told me it was because i had arrived there late, just before they were going to close and I hadn't told anyone earlier that I was not satisfied with the food. My family and I arrived there between the time of 730PM - 800PM, 2 HOURS before closing time. That night I was charged FULL PRICE for food that has been out for HOURS and supposedly when I dine there I'm suppose to act as a manager and tell the employees how to do their job. Not to mention we were practically rudely suggested to leave right at 10'oclock! In the many restaurants I worked at, even when a guest walks in 15 minutes before closing time we give them quality food and quality service from when they walk in until they walk out. Buffets are self serve restaurants, that means your clientele is paying for GREAT FOOD IN LARGE AMOUNTS. Never have I seen such ungrateful employees and an idiotic manager! I WILL NEVER DINE THERE AGAIN AND I DON'T SUGGEST ANYONE TOO. Oh, it is very good price buffet for all you can eat Lobster on Fri.and Sun.the food is so freshness and tasty, as good as the service too. All the staff seemed professional, cheerful and focused on their part to please us. Super Buffet At Markham Rd. They have a good variety of food, different soups and dim sum, also a decent sushi bar when sushi is kept fresh and replenished often. Dining area is designed nicely, bathrooms are kept clean and have an interesting sink design.i love that placeI have been there quite a few times over the years past. I have seen the beautiful transformations of the layout design, custom glasswork included. I also have appreaciated the unique flavour and intimate selection of delicacies. Every time was a joyful visit with my wife, who introduced me to this place a long time ago. Great flavour compared to the rest! My last visit there was apparently not welcomed by the establishment for 'some reason'. I do not like that I was treated like a 'potential menace'. Simply because, on my last visit, (I was with my brother, Lunch menu, the best food that I've ever had there!) and during our meal an older gentleman from the front desk ASSUMED that we were other people. In so doing, he 'very politely' told me to 'behave and take my time'! I LOST MY APPETITE! Notice the quotation marks and see their meaning.My brother and I paid, no tip, left and haven't returned since.I was surprised when I walked in the restaurant after seeing all these good reviews. Sure the decor is nice, but just step in the bathroom, and what a mess! No one bothers to clean the washrooms. Step in further and you will see very limited food choices. They are always out of food and do not restock in time. Service was slow and not very good. Food was not very good either. Even the fruit was bad. Food is so so. If you are not the 5th person to line up for the crab, good luck and you are told the next batch may not be out for another 2 hours. The dough for the dumplings and dim sum are too thick. Stir fries are too salty. The staff/receptionist had more concern about the koi fish than the enjoyment of the children. (Beware The fish are scared of children. So, kids don't frighten them.)The spread had variety but lacking in contrasting flavor. They all tasted the same.It wasn't really bad, but it wasn't really good either.It's a safe choice. But it's not something I'd recommend to friends.Haven't been there, yet. I've heard nothing but praise for this restaurant. Also, the staff are friendly and welcoming.Very bad food and bad waitress behaviour in the supper buffet some people want the world for peanuts ....you cant makes greedy people happy...i have been going there for 10 years ...the food is very tasty ...fresh and there is plenty of it ..please dont believe the bad stuff said about the SUPER BUFFET...when i walk in for lunch it 12:30 ...not 2:45 ....when i walk in for dinner its 7:30 ....not 9:45 ....it life timing is everything ...we cant help stupid people that keep missing their train ...if people dont see the deal their blind in both eyes...on FRI , SAT , SUN , THEY HAVE OYSTERS , LOBSTER , BIG SHRIMPS...ROAST BEEF , BEEF SHORT RIBS ...LETS JUST SAY FOR 26.00 ON THE WEEKEND...ITS A DEAL....AND FOR THE HATERS GET A LIFE ...WHY I SAY THIS IS BECAUSE I HAVE EATEN CHINESE FOOD ALL AROUND NORTH AMERICA ...
