Welcome to Rochdale Musical Theatre Company Founded in 1898, the company is steeped in history and tradition but is now leading the way in modern and forward thinking theatre productions.We have had the privilege of performing at Gracie Fields Theatre, Heywood Civic Centre and now at the state of the art 4D immersive theatre based at Matthew Moss High School.Our productions have been nominated for and have won many prestigious awards such as NODA’s, ACT awards and MMA’s.RMTC is made up of a dedicated team of musical theatre lovers. We have a loyal following and many of our members have gone on to perform professionally. We are a friendly company and members are drawn from across the North west. RMTC thrive as a group of people who enjoy performing high quality productions whilst having a lot of fun. But it’s not all about being on the stage! We rely on a strong team of volunteers; from making or hiring costumes, working backstage with props, lighting and sound, looking after our audience’s front of house, selling tickets, fundraising and marketing our productions there’s something for everyone.New members are always welcome whether on stage or off, just contact us hereWe are a registered charity and have raised over £50,000 for local charities over the years. We believe in supporting local causes and local people. Our ability to to this is due to our membership, ticket sales and generous donations from out patrons, many of whom have supported RMTC for many years.
