These knives are traditional Northwest Native carving tools with surprising versatility. They are fantastic for hollowing out the insides of spoons and bowls. The curved blades are sharp on both edges, so they can be used with pushing and pulling strokes without needing to change positions. The large comfortable handles are most frequently held palm up in one hand, but can also be used with both hands for extra leverage and control.The handles are finished with a light coat of tung oil. They will quickly pick up the oils from your hand and develop a rich patina. The old handles were the same as for the full size bent knives. The new handles are more appropriately sized for the smaller bent knives.
