WELCOME TO ADDISON COMMUNITY SCHOOLSThe mission of Addison Community Schools is to provide a well-balanced curriculum and learning environment, supplemented by enriching experiences in order for all learners to be successful.COVID-19 Positive Student LetterK-8 Instructional PlanDear Addison Community, The new emergency order under the Michigan Public Health Code (333.2253) suspends all in person learning for grades 9th-12th until December 8th, school will resume on December 9th. The order also left the decision to each district to determine in-person learning for students in grades Young 5’s-8th. After extensive conversation regarding the options available for K-8 learning, Addison Community Schools has determined it is in the best interest of students to remain face to face learners during the 3 week emergency order. This decision was made with the academic and social emotional well being of students in mind. We will continue to be diligent with sanitization throughout the buildings in order to protect the safety and health of staff and students. For those students who are 9th-12th grade, the following services will be available through December 8th:Wednesday, November 18th, students may pick up 3 days of breakfast and lunch in the elementary pick up loop from 9:00-10:00. Monday, November 23rd, students may pick up 3 days of breakfast and lunch in the elementary pick up loop from 9:00-10:00. Monday November 30th, students may pick up 7 days of breakfast and lunch in the elementary pick up loop from 9:00-10:00. The building will be accessible to students by appointment for mental health services. This will be the only requirement for this day. Starting on Thursday, November 19th, students should login to Google Classroom daily to complete required assignments.
