It used in a wide range of industries including Aerospace, Oil Gas, Manufacturing, Power Generation, Petrochemical, Transport and CivilEngineering.ULTRASONIC INSPECTION (UT) uses complex electronic equipment. Any material which transmitsmechanical vibrations can be tested. UT detects both linear and non-linearflaws and permits three dimensional interpretations. Evaluation is oftendifficult. The UT instrument converts electrical pulses into mechanicalvibrations or waves. These waves travel across the tested specimen and reflectfrom flaws because of their different acoustic nature. The returning reflectedwaves are reconverted to electric energy and displayed as signals on a cathoderay tube (CRT). The position and size of these signals correspond to theposition and size of the flaws.RADIOGRAPHIC INSPECTION (RT) Material density and its thickness set the limits of RT's usefulness.Internal flaws are RT's forte; its two dimensional views sometimes itsdrawback. RT uses penetrating radiation and works on the principle that denseror thicker materials will absorb more radiation and a sheet of radiographicfilm or image amplifier. A flaw presents anywhere within the specimen willabsorb less radiation than the specimen itself. The flaw's presence andlocation will be indicated by an area of higher or darker exposure.MAGNETIC PARTICLE INSPECTION (MPI) DYEPENETRANT INSPECTION (DPI) The surfacedefect is difficult to be inspected using technology of RT or UT. Most of UTequipment has a dead zone area that could not inspect a defect that close tothe surface. MPI DPI give the solution to find more exact the surfacedefect.EDDY CURRENT INSPECTION (EC) instrument can be small and portable, or large multi--channel devices.The method is used only on electrically conductive materials. An energizedelectric coil induces a magnetic field into the tested specimen. Thefluctuating magnetic field generates an electric eddy current. This change iselectronically analyzed to provide flaw severity or material conditioninformation. Hydrostatic Testing Cleaning
PRESSURE TESTING activity is the finaltesting after construction and installation of the equipments such as pressurevessel, tank, boiler, piping, pipeline etc. to ensure mechanical strength,sound weld, system connection leaking in accordance with international code andstandard.HYDROSTATIC TESTING DIVISION provides the pressure testing service including equipmentand qualified personnel (operator). The testing performed using pressurizedwater produced from the pressure pump and measured by pressure recorder andgauge that attached to the equipment system test.In the area pipeline activities, our division providespipeline pigging services to ensure the cleanness of the pipeline afterconstruction and testing and also provides intelligent pig to ensure thesoundness of material for new pipeline or re assessment of the existingpipelines.CLEANING DIVISION ispart of hydrostatic division and provides tank cleaning services during repairor recondition and also pipeline cleaning services after pressure testing. Thedivision provides equipment and qualified personnel (operator). The equipment is prepared to go on-siteto provide a full range of testing services and the additional resources toprovide more effectively by bringing in qualified, experienced and fullydedicated personnel.
Intelligent PigServicesFully supported by Principal, The Principal is one of aleading intelligent pig inspection which manufacturesand operates tools for oil and gas pipeline inspection-pigs, which checkanomalies such as ovalnesses, crushing and corrosions, contributing to avoidleakages that may cause ecological accidents.For more than ten (10) years rendering inspection services throughout countries in the world, providing also toolsto worldwide partners.The intelligent pig services offer:Caliper:Principal was the first truemulti-channel standard geometry inspection tool. Embedded computer electronicsand data management software advanced Principals geometry tool to a highresolution level. The tool is designed to be used in the most challengingsituations, to effectively detect and size deformations that can affectpipeline integrity or impede the passage of other tools.High data sampling rates and specialsoftware features allow large variation of velocity with acceptable results, amust for typical compressed air propulsion used commonly in construction jobs.Accurate data allows new pipeline commissioning based on valid data.Longitudinal distance measurement toassure accurate location of anomalies uses the same odometer system as MFLtools. Magnetic sensors give 3 digital ticks per foot and analog sinusoidquadrature signals to allow for distance interpolation and forward/backwardmovement discrimination.
Individually calibrated magnetic baseddisplacement sensors are strategically placed inside the cup for the ultimatein robustness.Full data recording provides for bestdata analysis. Unique graphical representations for tool signal were developedby Principal to best characterize line features and defects. An animatedsection view, a min/max diameter view and a 3D view are available with thesoftware supplied to the user. Software allows clients to manage defect, weldand pipeline features tables as well as view raw data.
Geometric Inspection Pig: Externallymounted MFL inspection tool for non-piggable pipelines such as tank farms,piers, refineries, chemical plants, as well as very short runs where ILI toolruns would not be cost-effective. Also effective tools to precisely locateinternal or mid-wall defects detected by ILI tools without removing pipecoating in the process of data prove up. GIP can be used in sub-sea applicationswith the same results.Data quality is monitored on-line realtime to avoid reruns. Severe defects may be marked on the pipeline on-the-fly.
High precision odometer with accuracy in fractionsof a foot, reading forward and backwards, combined with nearby pipelinefeatures and o'clock position assures precise defect location. Modularmagnetic and sensor assemblies supported on long life wheels allow for quickadaption to pipeline diameter and real time inspection in restricted areas ofshort or long sections of non-piggable systems. Embedded data acquisitionelectronics and real-time data transmission to laptop PC on site.A complete PipeScan software managementsystem allows for table views of defects as well as pipeline accessories suchas taps, valves and supports, assuring quick defect location. A PipelineCoverage View is provided with zooming features to graphically navigate on thereport results. MFL signal visualization is as close as a mouse click on thedefect table entry. Line graph, color graph or gray scale graphing isimmediately available. Software coordinates data merger to assure integratedanalysis when multiple scans are required to cover the full pipe circumference.



MagneticFlux Leakage: Rareearth neodymium iron boron magnets power the magnetizer of the inspection unit,providing the ultimate strength to meet most pipeline wall thicknesses for thebest feature detection and sizing. Special designs can cover extra heavy wallapplications. ILI tool drive section is the sealing unit that pulls the pigthrough the pipeline. All sizes of the ILI tool can accommodate multiple wallthickness in the same run. Longitudinal distance measurement is toassure accurate location of anomalies. Magnetic sensors give 3 digital ticks perfoot and analog sinusoid quadrature signals to allow for distance interpolationand forward/backward movement discrimination. Alltools are articulated for short capsule length to achieve bend radius of 1.5 Dand 3 D. The versatility of adding capsules or removing capsules allows therecording life of the tool to be changed with batteries to meet most pipelinelengths. Principals policy is continuousimprovement committed to meet every pipeline challenge to fulfill our clientsrequirements.Up-to-date computer hardware andcomponents, flash memories and signal conditioning electronics record thesignals from the sensors in full, without any filtering criteria, to allow forbest post-run signal analysis and comparison with future runs. Porcupine:Data from the Porcupine may be comparedwith MFL signals from Principal runs or with defect tables from competitorssurveys, on a joint by joint basis. Special software tools give the ability forcomparison with an integrated internal/external report when the runs arecombined. Individuallycalibrated sensors provide for high precision, with resolution up to 0.004 onlocal wall changes. Sensors are placed in offset rings to maximize pipelinecoverage. The 1/4 combined typical sensor distance provides high resolutiondefect detection and sizing. Detailed and precise defect mapping by Porcupine may be usedby Principal or third party software to effectively apply Level-2 (effectivearea) or even Level-3 defect assessment criteria and eventually approve defectswhen Level-1 criteria such as ASME B31G condemns the pipeline to expensiverepairs.
Unique Inspection for ID Defects Patented Dueto the characteristics of internal general corrosion, channeling corrosion, andgeneral wall thinning (erosion), MFL ILI tools have limitations on detectionand sizing. Principals Porcupine ILI solves that problem. Instead of nodetection at wall or the detection of only deeper defects in an alreadycorroded area, true internal wall mapping is obtained.Unique concepts behind tool design,analysis and data management software allow the Porcupine as a stand alonetool or combined with MFL modules in a single ILI tool, able to do internal andexternal inspection in a single passage.Sophisticated mathematics embedded inthe wall search technique compensates for issues such as wall thicknessvariations from nominal value for both minor and major changes. This techniquealso deals with normal pipeline oval ties, up to 1% OD. In addition, a naturalvarying tool displacement from pipe center axis is also compensated for usingthe same system.Magnetic based displacement sensorsmeasure wall position with respect to tool center, indicating both metal lossand deposits such as hard wax or scale. Tools operate the same in liquid or gas pipelines.
