Environmental Involvement For Young People We're a charity that aims to encourage young people's understanding of the environment and of the need for sustainability. The Young People s Trust for the Environment is a charityset up to encourageyoung people s understanding of the environment.Founded back in 1982, it aims to giveyoung people a real awareness ofenvironmental issues such as climate change, pollution, deforestation and endangered flora fauna.It also aims to provide balanced views to take into account the realities of the modern world. Young people need to know all of the facts in order to make their own decisions about how they want to shape their world for the future. Better Energy School AwardsThe Better Energy School Awards aim to assist and encourage environmental education for young people aged 5-11. They promote cross-curricular work on the environment and offer opportunities to study energy including fossil fuels and alternative technologies, linking with the National Curriculum for England and Wales and the Scottish Curriculum for Excellence.The awards are split into four regions (South/Central, North, Wales and West, Scotland) and there will be a winner for each Award category in each region.With over 50 prizes available and a top prize of 5,000 for the overall champion school, it s well worth taking part!Find out more Home Learning PacksSupporting parents and carers during the Covid-19 lockdownYPTE is compiling Home Learning Packsto support parents and carers.
