Description:

PHLP is committed to making sure consumers have access to the health care coverage and services they need during this crisis. Our new COVID-19 Resource Center includes FAQs and updates about state and federal policies impacting MA consumers. PHLP is a 501(c)(3) non-profit organization providing free legal services to people having trouble getting or keeping health coverage. For more than two decades, we have worked tirelessly to advance the health care rights of our clients. We do this by providing legal representation to help clients keep Medicaid coverage and services; engaging in community education and outreach to consumers, advocates, and health care providers; and advocating for policies that best address our clients' healthcare needs and protect their legal rights. Was your Medicaid application denied?  Was your coverage terminated at your annual renewal?  Did your Medicaid insurance plan deny coverage for the health services or supports you need?  We're here to help.  Through our Helpline, we provide free legal services to individuals having trouble getting or keeping Medicaid.  We use our legal expertise and our experience working with clients to train advocates, health care providers, social workers, and consumers throughout the state on a wide range of health care related topics. These trainings include both in-person and webinar events, and range in topic from Medicaid 101 to more in-depth topics like successful appeal strategies, writing letters of medical necessity, and more.
