New: OJJDP COVID–19 Guidance: State Juvenile Detention and Correctional Facilities  Announcements regarding the impact of COVID-19 on OJP grantees are available on the Office of Justice Programs website. The report describes delinquency cases and petitioned status offense cases that courts with juvenile jurisdiction processed in 2018 and presents trends since 2005. The March/April newsletter highlights the Office of Justice Programs' (OJP's) training and outreach sessions to educate rural and tribal organizations and agencies about funding opportunities from OJP and other Department of Justice grant-making offices.  In December 2018, President Trump signed into law the Juvenile Justice Reform Act of 2018 (JJRA), reauthorizing and substantially amending the Juvenile Justice and Delinquency Prevention Act of 1974. OJJDP produced the 2018 JJRA Redline, which allows users to see and track changes implemented by the new law.  OJJDP funding programs support state and community efforts to develop effective prevention and intervention programs and to improve the juvenile justice system. OJJDP produces and sponsors numerous publications and products each year that focus on different aspects of juvenile justice. OJJDP sponsors programs to prevent and respond to juvenile delinquency and victimization and improve the juvenile justice system.
