Adrianna Hicks, OUMT 11, is originating the role of Catherine of Aragon, in the upcoming Broadway production of SIX. Sarah Quinn Taylor, OUMT 2016, is performing on the National Tour of My Fair Lady. Andy Tofa, OUMT 15, is performing as John Laurens and Phillip Hamilton on the national tour of Hamilton. The American Theatre Magazine named the Weitzenhoffer School of Musical Theatre one of the Top 13 Musical Theatre Programs in the nation. OU Musical Theatre provides its students with the best of two worlds — conservatory-style training within a dynamic liberal arts university environment. In the midst of an intensive, world-class program of study in the arts, OU Musical Theatre gives students unique opportunities to broaden their knowledge with a wide array of possibilities outside of the School. Our students are eager to share their experiences, success and satisfaction as they deepen their love for performing and grow as individuals and artists. These monies go directly to support scholarships for both current and incoming musical theatre students. Family and Friends of OUMT, consider supporting the Calvert Director's Fund which provides funding for guest artists, increased program enhancements, and audition travel stipends. This fund allow us to offer unique opportunities to our students as a premiere national program. As the only School of Musical Theatre in the country, our goal is to provide students the tools for success both on stage and off. We are recruiting the top 1% of talented high school seniors for our next freshman class. With a Bachelor of Fine Arts (B.F.A.) in Musical Theatre Performance, we offer conservatory-style training and a dynamic university education.Bring your passion and grow beyond your expectations. Nine full-time professional faculty working with a self-imposed cap of 50 exceptional students, allows us to offer an unmatched level of personalized training. Alumni are performing on Broadway, in National tours, at Regional theatres and in Europe and Asia, demonstrating that this is one of America's premiere programs.Admission to the University of Oklahoma is required as well as a separate application to the School of Musical accompanied by an audition.
