Log into the member's area and click the Register Now button on the Member's Home page.NEW MEMBERSArdsley Curling Club will be accepting new members this season, but league capacity will be limited and strict COVID-19 rules will be followed.Please contact [email protected] for information about joining Ardsley Curling Club.2020-2021 COVID-19 RulesThe Golden RulesNo curling when sickAlways wear a maskThe Ice / Scheduling of Games / When We OpenSeason will start with play limited to two sheets with staggered start times, and two draws when needed. Doubles can play on three sheets.If a third sheet is introduced later in the year, play on Sheet B starts at the far end of ice.Time limits on games will be strictly enforced to limit warm room interactions.Marks along the ice sheet edges every 6 feet will give players places to stand distanced.Only Vice Skips will touch the scoreboard, only the player in charge of the ice will return stones at the completion of an end - DO NOT touch the stones with hands or gloves.League chairs will pre-determine each team's color and hammer.Teams will consist of 4 players.Masks are required on the ice at all times and must cover the nose and mouth.Stones will be lined up in single file along the ends of the sheets.Club brooms and stabilizers are wiped down before each game, with each item having identifying marks to limit use to one player per game. The club will obtain additional stabilizers to prevent sharing during a game.Only persons designated by the ice committee should pebble and nip the ice.Players will enter the ice shed through the closest door to the sheet of play.The scoreboard will be wiped down at the beginning of each game.Practice ice reservations will be limited to Sheets A C, and practice ice must be reserved in advance on the club website.The Rules of PlayNo handshakes, fist bumps, or elbow bumps at beginning of games. Just a warm, hearty "Good Curling".Only one player may sweep on a shot. The player not sweeping CANNOT join to sweep or take over sweeping. The designated sweeper can change on different shots.Skips are not allowed to sweep behind the T line. No sweeping of opponent's stones.The designated sweeper on the throwing team can sweep behind the T line on the running shot, and can sweep any of their own team's stones that have been struck.Skips can opt at the beginning of the game to flip a coin in lieu of measuring.Wipe the measuring sticks prior to use. Only one person should handle the measuring devices. Measuring devices should be handled with sanitized, bare hands. Do not wear gloves.Remove all beverage and personal items from the ice at the end of play.No communal water on ice.No switching stones during the game. Each player must always throw the same stones.Warm Room and BroomstackingMasks must be warn in the warm room and cover the nose and mouth.Players are allowed in the club 10 minutes before their draw.No spectators are allowed in the warm room.No tables will be placed in the warm room.A limit of 8 chairs for each sheet will be placed in the warm room for changing shoes.Marks will be placed on the warm room floor for 6-foot distancing, and chairs will be placed on marks for shoe changing.The downstairs changing room will be closed. The bathroom capacity is 1. A sign will be posted upstairs to indicate if the mens/womens bathrooms are occupied.No one is allowed behind the bar.No storage of curling equipment is allowed at the club - take it home.There will be no broomstacking at the beginning of the season. This will be evaluated as the season progresses.If broomstacking is introduced later in the season, no common snacks are allowed.Plentiful signage will be placed in the warm room indicating the COVID-19 rules.Building Physical PlantThe club will add maximum possible MERV filters in the heating and dehumidification systemsPlentiful hand sanitizer and disinfection wipes will be made available in the warm room and ice shed.RAZOR anti-microbial sanitation will be performed on high-touch surfaces weekly.Enhanced cleaning of the club will be performed.The main door will remain open as much as possible when the club is occupied.Player Screening / TrackingNo one may come to the club if they are sick in any way, if they have been tested for COVID-19 but have not received results, is in self-quarantine, or has been in close contact with some who has COVID-19.All players are required to fill out a Declaration of Compliance before they are allowed in the club.Liability waivers are required prior to entering the ice shed.Skips are required to report the roster of players to the league chair on a daily basis, and league chairs will provide the roster of players to the Club President in order to provide contact tracing information, if necessary, to local health officials.Any member who tests positive is requested to notify the Club President. Such information will be treated confidentially.Learn-to-curl events may be held with a strict limit of attendees: a maximum of 16 people are allowed on the ice, including instructors.Corporate events are postponed for the beginning of the season.COVID-19 RulesIf a curler receives a positive Covid test:The club will call the people who were curling in the same draw as the person who tested positive for Covid. Anyone who was curling on the same sheet should avoid the curling club for 14 days before returning.The club will Interview the positive person and ask the following questions: Will they consent to have their name made public? With whom did they come in contact? Did they interact with anyone on the other draw that night?The club will send a communication out to entire club about the positive case, when that person curled, and on which sheet that person curled.If there are two independent positive cases within a week [not from the same household] - the President will call an emergency board meeting to determine next steps, including potentially closing the club for a period of time.All members who have been potentially exposed to Covid and have since curled should also alert the club president [or alternately a member of Executive Committee: Joe Sablow, Derek Kayser, Tim Klein, Greg Poole-Dayan], and the same protocols will be followed. People who have tested positive for Covid must avoid the curling club for 10 days after receiving the positive test result before they can return.Anyone who has been in close contact with a positive Covid case, or who has traveled to a high risk area as determined by New York State must avoid the curling club for 14 days before returning to curling.Ardsley will follow all NYS / Westchester County guidelines about closing.COVID-19 Response ProceduresJoin UsAdult New Member RegistrationJunior New Member RegistrationUse this registration if you are at least 18 years old and:New to the sport and want to join Ardsley as a new 1st Year CurlerAn experienced curler (played at least one year) new to ArdsleyRead more and register onlineUse this registration if you are between 12-17 years old.
