This fansite was started in 1997, as a tribute to the 1980's musical animated TV-series and toy line, and to the people and companies that made it all happen. December 14, 2018I've been in an accident. I won't be able to stick to the plan for uploading the reviews of Christy's first 8 Jem episodes. I finished the first four. And I practically finished the remaining four before the accident. Hopefully I will find energy to get them ready for upload some day. November 28, 2018The fundraiser for the main writer of Jem, Christy Marx, has reached beyond its goal! Amazing what people can accomplish together! Visit the fundraiser page to see how it's going. Friends and colleagues of Christy, Jem writers, Jem voice actors, fans from around the globe, and creators of the new Jem comics, have all been very generous. Rock Jem is not affiliated with the fundraiser. It was started by Ellen Guon Beeman who, like Christy, was a writer for the Jem cartoon, and in my opinion she is a hero for organizing this! But everyone can do something! There are many places, active sites and social media accounts of fans, which are directly about the works of Christy, where this fundraiser still has not been mentioned yet. If you have any doubt of the authencity of the fundraiser, visit Christy Marx's own facebook page and read her own message about the situation. And visit the fundraiser page to see a picture of what's left of Christy's home. Read more about Christy's work on her site. Christy is responsible for stories about many of our favorite characters, like Jem in particular, Spider-man, G.I. Joe, Transformers, Conan the Adventurer, but also Ninja Turtles, He-man, and many others. And she is a person who many times has taken a stand for political issues in our society. A very strong and respectable person. I can only imagine the long way for Christy to rebuild her world, as far as possible, and how every dollar helps her get through the day with the very basics. It would be a shame if the fundraiser stagnated after its initial goal. So if you are able to do something, I'm sure that would mean alot. November 2, 2018Checked Tumblr lately?June 22, 2017Time for an update! Some were announced in the Rock Jem blog. It became a little overwhelming to keep up with all the amazing official events going on in recent years for Jem. Many things deserved attention, while at the same time the original people behind Jem continued their careers with exciting news, and it's hard to keep all of this up for 20 years or choose what to concentrate on. Especially while finding time to update existing features about the classic Jem cartoon and products, which is also a big part of the heart of this site. Yes this site celebrates it's 20 years anniversary this year! Instead of trying to do it all, this site will concentrate on continuing the features it does best, which are the features currently available on this site. There are enough people out there who are great at reporting Jem news, creating new fanprojects, and artistic features. This site will still try to be attentive with announcements and links and every now and then. Thanks everyone who has participated on the journey for the last 20 years!
