December 18, 2020 5:00 pm update: The snow from last weekend in Northern Lower Michigan has remained on the ground and there has been some lake effect to freshen things up. The base is still thin and the trails have received some panning runs in some areas. You can probably find some limited riding in some areas this weekend. And there is a few extra inches of snow in the forecast as well.Still no dramatic snow storms in the forecast going into the holiday season. However, there is a chance of a moderate dose of lake effect snow right before Christmas. The Upper Peninsula did pick up some lake effect snow this week and there is more in the forecast. The base on the trails is thin and we have no reports of grooming.So it looks like limited chances of riding over the weekend and into next week.
