Learn more Time:08:00 AM - 09:00 AM This virtual camp will feature a 1-hour live video session Monday, Wednesday, and Friday with Educator, Mark Hurley. Each session will build on the previous day covering fish adaptations, fish pole maintenance and set up, baiting a hook, lure selection, casting techniques, hook removal, and much more. Campers will be given links to previously recorded short videos of Mark fishing at Independence Grove that can be viewed after the live sessions or on the days in-between. Time:10:00 AM - 11:00 AM Each day campers interact virtually with educator(s) for 30-45 minutes on video that may feature a themed-activity and a live animal(s) who is covered with fur, feathers, fins, scales or skin. Additional activities, including digital resources and crafts will be shared with campers’ parent/guardian. The weather influences so much of our lives- how we feel, what we wear and do. Join virtually for a nature-based story and dress-for-the-weather activity. Summer nights are filled with the sounds of singing insects. Join us for this online program to discover which insect is singing and to learn a few ways to observe these critters up close. Join Wildlife Ecologist, Gary Glowacki and Environmental Educator, Jenny Sazama as they answer your turtle questions live.This biweekly Q&A series features a panel of educators excited to share their expertise about Lake County nature and history.
