CPRIT Grant Applicant and Grantee Guidance Related to COVID-19 CPRIT is committed to supporting our grant applicants and grantees as COVID-19 precautionary measures and illness hinder business activities. Updated guidance related to COVID-19 issues affecting grantee and grant applicants is available here. Through the exemplary work of our grantees, CPRIT is delivering on the promise to accelerate advancements in cancer prevention and cures. Oversight Committee CPRIT is governed by nine dedicated Texans who are appointed by the Governor, the Lieutenant Governor, and the Speaker of the House. CPRIT advances its mission by awarding merit- based grants through three programs: Set by the CPRIT Oversight Committee, the Program Priorities guide the direction of the agency’s funding portfolio. CPRIT supports the most creative ideas and meritorious projects brought forward by the cancer research community in Texas. Ten percent of CPRIT funds support the delivery of evidence-based cancer prevention interventions to underserved populations in Texas. CPRIT creates and supports infrastructure in Texas that accelerates the movement of new cancer drugs, diagnostics, and therapies from the laboratory to the patient.TAGS:and Prevention Cancer
