ARTxFM keeps marching on. . . and so does this global pandemic. This historical moment has not been easy on any of us. All of us struggling to stay alive. Keeping our station on-air while keeping our volunteer DJs safe has been the challenge of our lifetime. When the pandemic began, we trained all of our staff to live broadcast remotely from the safety of home. This resulted in many unique broadcasting opportunities we otherwise never could have imagined. We now have DJs live broadcasting from ALL OVER THE WORLD and suddenly the possiblities are limitless.
While the DJs were away, we took advantage of the downtime to rennovate our on-air studio. Now, as we slowly transition back into the station, we are being cautious to protect the safety of our staff and the health of our community. At the moment, we are operating in a hybrid phase with some DJs still remoting in while others are back in house. Expect some techincal issues and magical suprises to ensue! The staff of ART FM appreciates your patience and understanding as we naviagte these unclear waters ~ and we hope you enjoy the ride!

This was a record-breaking Give for Good campaign for ART FM and we are so grateful for your support that helps keep our young radio station on the air for all the world to enjoy! This is our one fundraising day of the year and this time you REALLY SHOWED UP!!!!
This year, you helped us win many Give for Good bonus prizes that made every charitable donation go further. Not only did we retain our UP ALL NIGHT crown for the most unique donors between 2-4 AM, we picked up the 5-8 AM EARLY MORNING RUSH! As the day progressed we claimed a number of MATCH MINUTES and scored donations from ALL 50 STATES. We nearly DOUBLED our original fundraising goal and qualified for the top BONUS POOL. Most importantly, we won the Tier Two GRAND PRIZE, not once but TWICE this year thanks to our mastermind staff. Prizes included, we closed out the 24 hours with $38,000 in donations from 430 listeners. With this, we came 4th PLACE OVERALL in MOST UNIQUE DONATIONS out of 500+ NONPROFIT ORGANIZATIONS!!!
The support of our community means so much to us. We had such fun with this event -- even though we had to party remote -- thanks to all the exquisite DJS who kept us jammin' throughout the day and to everyone who joined us on the virtual discos. Every penny of your hard earned donations will be invested in amplifying community voices in Louisville - expanding access to the airwaves for free and creative use - and providing emergency broadcasting services for the greater Kentuckiana area. BONUS POOL - Secured 90 unique donations for split of $50,000
Through this global crisis, the volunteer DJs of ART FM have been there for you all day -- everyday -- delivering diverse music, critical news, and the latest health and safety information. We also hosted the first ever Grassroots Radio Conference Virtual Summit with so many amazing speakers -- such as Chuck D and Will Oldham - chiming in from all over the world. We have provided Emergency Broadcasting services throughout the Kentuckiana area. We formed partnerships with Xtendsound and the Pacifica Radio Network to extend the range of Louisville community broadcasters.
GIVE FOR GOOD LOUISVILLE is a fierce but friendly 24-hour fundraising competition between area nonprofits that takes place on September 17, 2021. Because the Community Foundation offers a range of incentives to make everyone's donations go further, ART FM focuses on this single day of fundraising to keep our station on air thorughout the year. The 2021 Cultural Pass offers families in Greater Louisville with children ages 0-21 access to participate in arts and cultural activities provided by 51 venues, free of charge, from June 1 through August 8, 2021.
The Cultural Pass is designed to inspire, explore, and discover new experiences. After going virtual last year, this year Cultural Pass will offer both virtual and in-person experiences so that every family can participate in a way that works for them!
Created from Vision Louisville, the Cultural Pass is an innovative initiative to promote art and culture and improve summer learning in our community. Nearly 240,000 passes have been issued since its inception in 2014.
As a 2021 Cultural Pass Venue, ART FM will provide hands-on learing activities at the Cultural Pass Days as well as sponsor a performance of The Charlie Humble Band at the Falls of The Ohio. Please come join us for the fun and an opportunity to get your child's voice on the air! We look forward to sharing this experience with you all!

ATTN: FANS of COMMUNITY RADIO:: The FCC is considering a proposal that would increase wattage for many LPFM radio stations from 100 to 250 watts. This is a VERY EXCITING and UNEXPECTED OPPORTUNITY that would help our low power stations exponentially!
It is important for EVERYONE who cares about community broadcasting in the United States to file comments in support of Simple LPFM 250 as proposed in RM-11909. This includes station Station Staff, Board Members, Volunteer DJs, Listeners, and Supporters. PLEASE TELL YOUR FRIENDS AND FANS!!!
