Sara joined the insurance industry after graduating from Colorado State University with a degree in Business Marketing. She’s been married to her husband and best friend, Aaron, since 1995, and keeps busy assisting him in managing their agency, telling its story, and managing the accounting department. Sara also enjoys visiting and spending time with her adult children, date nights with Aaron, cooking, reading, traveling, exercising, hiking, camping, and entertaining at her home in Broomfield.

Ernie Schaefer

Ernie purchased RSS in 1995 from the original owner Ron Richards and strengthened and continued to build our agency through our key values of experience, integrity and honesty. In January 2015, Ernie transferred ownership of the business to his daughter and son-in-law so he could spend more time doing what he loves most- traveling with his wife of 48 years, Terry.  Ernie has lived in Colorado since 1985, and has a degree in business from Black Hills State University. He loves restoring antique furniture when not traveling, advising at RSS, and spending time with his five grandchildren.

Nikki Aragon

Director of Operations

Nikki Aragon joined our team in 2022 as our Director of Operations. While Nikki has lived in Colorado for 26 years, she grew up in Waterloo, Iowa, and then attended the University of Arizona where she obtained her degree in business.

She and her husband Dan have five adult kids together, one dog, two cats and six chickens. Nikki’s hobbies include traveling, camping, hiking, and 4-wheelin’! She’s a proud fan of the Denver Nuggets, Denver Broncos, and the Iowa Hawkeyes. She says that learning is one of her greatest passions, and she especially enjoys learning about history, people and places, the bible, finances, and technology. She is also devoted to helping the most vulnerable in our world, especially children and animals.

Kaitlin Barth

Employee Benefits Account Manager

Kaitlin joined our team February 2022 as our newest Employee Benefits account manager.  She brings with her eight years of experience in the Employee Benefits, HR and Benefits Administration field (along with a very fun and sweet personality).

While Kaitlin just moved to Lakewood with her new husband, Shawn, two stepsons, Mieka and Xandor, and two dogs, Busta and Charlie, she grew up in Highlands Ranch and is a Colorado native.  She is a fan of Colorado sports (especially the Denver Broncos), going for bike rides, putting together puzzles, walking, reading, cooking new meals, and playing cards with her family.

Kaitlin is passionate about taking care of people and believes in treating others the way you would want to be treated. She follows the belief of striving to leave people better than when you found them and leaving a good impression on others. The most important things to Kaitlin are God, her family, her career, and her friends. She also believes in working hard and playing hard, as life is not promised and it’s important to take advantage of opportunities as they come.

Greg Beehler

Insurance Advisor

Greg is a true Coloradan having been born and raised in Arvada, Colorado. Greg graduated from the University of Colorado in 1993 with a degree in engineering. Greg continues to live in Arvada where he is raising his two sons, Ethan and Adam. Greg loves being involved with the sports in which his boys participate and is an active golfer and tennis player himself. Greg feels strongly about caring for his family and his customers. He says, “My honor and integrity are very important to me. It’s not only my goal to find the best price and coverage for my customers, but to help them understand what they are purchasing and why it’s important.”

Katy Beehler

Insurance Advisor

Katy is a Colorado native who became an agent at RSS in early 2012. She graduated from Covenant Bible College and earned a certificate in Biblical Studies. She proudly holds a license in Property, Casualty, Life and Health insurance. She has two young children named Zach and Kyleigh and loves spending all of her extra time with them. Katy loves playing board games with friends and family. She is also passionate about learning new things and has a passion for being outside and enjoying the Colorado mountains.

Jessica Beuten

Personal Customer Service/Account Manager

Jessica joined RSS as a customer service support team member July of 2017 and became licensed in Property/Casualty insurance shortly thereafter. She comes from a large family (she’s one of seven kids) and is a Colorado native. She can read and speak sign language, as both of her parents are deaf. Jessica has been married for two years to her husband, Darian, who works in construction. Jessica took classes for a year in Business Administration and enjoys traveling, hiking, baking, knitting, and trying new foods. She loves watching “The Office” and “Parks and Recreation,” and of course the Broncos games with her dad. Jessica says the most important things to her are her faith, spending time with her husband and family, and being active in her church. We are very excited to have her as part of our team and we hope you get a chance to meet her!

Dena Brown

Commercial Customer Service/Account Manager

January marked Dena’s 28th year with RSS! She is a licensed Property and Casualty CSR for our business clients. She has been married to her husband Charlie for 31 years and they have one daughter, Brittany, who is a Social Studies teacher in Jefferson County. Dena is also a dog lover, with two of her own named Snickers and Harley. Dena loves the Denver Broncos and Colorado Rockies, and enjoys bowling, long walks and time with her family. Dena says that RSS is like her second home and family, and her goal is to retire from RSS Insurance Services.

Stephanie Gonzales

Insurance Advisor

Stephanie is a fourth generation Coloradan who joined our staff in June of 2014. She is a licensed Property, Casualty, and Life agent and loves getting to know her customers! She is passionate about animals and has three adopted dogs and two cats. In her spare time Stephanie enjoys cooking, baking, and grilling…most nights of the week you can find her cooking something tasty in her kitchen! Above all, Stephanie says she enjoys spending quality time with her family and friends.

Destiny Horton

Account Manager

Destiny joined the RSS team as a Personal Lines Account Manager in April 2021. She is originally from Oklahoma and has been in the insurance industry for almost 7 years. When asked what she likes most about the insurance industry Destiny said, “I enjoy problem solving for my clients as well as taking a collaborative approach with my teammates. I strive to become a subject matter expert who can help my clients understand their risks and properly protect them.”

Destiny has been married to her husband, Logan, for nine years. Logan is on active duty in the Army, and Colorado is Destiny and Logan’s fourth “home.” Destiny and Logan are always excited to see new places as they are both from very rural areas. Together they have 3 dogs, Bella, Mollie & Harley.

Since moving to Colorado in 2018, Destiny says she has tried to take advantage of the outdoors and go on hikes as much as possible. She loves getting out on the weekends and trying new local food spots, and she has enjoyed the variety of people she has met while out and about in Colorado. When asked what is important to her Destiny said, “Relationships are a priority in my life. Whether personal or professional, I am a firm believer in nurturing relationships to allow them to grow and be long lasting.”

Gabriella Glanz

Commercial Account CSR

Gabriella Glanz joined Conexus June 2022 as a Commercial Lines CSR assisting our commercial account management team. She grew up in northern New Mexico and moved to Colorado last year so she could be closer to family. She married her husband Michael in 2020 and they have an Australian Shepherd named Muggsie, who runs their lives.  She is currently attending the Community College of Denver and will transfer to CU Boulder next spring. Gabriella enjoys camping, hiking, stand up paddle boarding, playing video games, and reading a good book.

Julia is a Colorado native who joined the RSS team in 2020 as an Office Administrator. Julia is excited to explore the insurance industry and is ready to learn and grow as an insurance professional at RSS.

Rena Kennedy

Employee Benefits Customer Service/Account Manager

RSS welcomed Rena and her wealth of health insurance industry knowledge to our agency in June of 2016. Rena has worked in the health benefits industry for over 14 years and is licensed not only health and life, but also in property and casualty insurance as well. She is a Colorado native, grew up in Denver and has a 12-year old daughter named Shelby. Rena loves the outdoors and staying active. She enjoys hunting, fishing, camping, backpacking, snowboarding, biking, working out, swimming and boating. She loves spending her time with family and also enjoys watching sports. She says she is passionate about everything she sets her mind to and loves to try and experience new things, and always gives it her all.

Darin Kraft

Construction Industry Ambassador

Darin joined the RSS team in October of 2019 as an Insurance Advisor. Darin is a Colorado native and grew up in Arvada. He has been married to his wife, Jill, for 20-years. Together they have four children, Jesse, Jasmine, Ashley and Trevor. When out of the office, Darin enjoys fly fishing, watching the Broncos and spending time with his family. Darin came to RSS with a plethora of experience, specifically within the construction industry. Prior to coming to RSS, he worked as a Risk Management Specialist with 2-10 H.B.W. Darin’s wealth of knowledge and background easily translate over to the insurance industry as his past work experience required him to obtain his Property and Casualty insurance license. Darin is passionate about helping individuals and businesses in our community excel. It is this passion that brought him to RSS.

Kelsey Lee

Office Administrator

Kelsey is originally from Cedar Rapids, Iowa, but she has been in the Denver Metro area for 16 years now. She went to middle school at St. Louis Catholic school in Louisville and attended high school at Holy Family in Broomfield. After high school, Kelsey attended Metropolitan State University of Denver where she completed her Bachelor’s degree in Biology and minor in Environmental Science. Kelsey is married to her husband, Cannan, and together they have a German shepherd named Zeus and a tabby cat named Darwin. Both Kelsey and her husband come from large families. She has four siblings and he has four siblings. They are both very close to their families and are very lucky they are able to see them often. In her spare time, Kelsey loves baseball and the Rockies. She goes to opening day every year as well as about 25 games a season. Kelsey and her husband hike a lot, and they like to hike 14ers. Kelsey says she “enjoys anything that is involved with being in the mountains.” She also enjoys reading, visiting wineries and playing board games with her husband. Kelsey is passionate about new experiences. Anytime she can travel and see new things, she jumps at the opportunity. In fact, Kelsey was able to go to Thailand after college for two months and volunteer with elephants and backpack around Thailand (UM, COOL!). Jenna Mahannah

Community Relations Manager

Jenna joined the RSS team February 2018 as Community Relations Manager. Jenna has a super friendly personality and loves helping others and meeting people. She truly enjoys new experiences and new challenges. She recently moved to Colorado from Illinois with her fiancé, Jim. She attended Eastern Illinois University and graduated with a bachelor’s degree in Communication Studies. Jenna enjoys hiking, skiing, traveling, and being outdoors. She says, “My family and friends mean everything to me and I wouldn’t be where I am without them.”

Dani Massingill

Personal Lines Account Manager

Dani joined the RSS team in May of 2019 as a Personal Lines Account Manager. Dani is a mom to two beautiful daughters, Sydney and Tilly Jean and is a competitive power-lifter. When Dani isn't running her two kiddos around or power-lifting, she enjoys teaching horseback riding to people with special needs, spending time with her boyfriend, Justin, coaching softball and ANYTHING outdoors. Dani is passionate about working with today's youth and hopes to start more programs or after-school activities that encourage kids to get involved in power-lifting or fitness. When asked about what is most important to her Dani said, "My family, my faith and doing all I can while on this earth to help others, build friendships and leave a positive impact in any way possible."

Angela Mattei

RSS welcomed Angela to our insurance team in June of 2015. She has been working in the health insurance industry for over 22 years and holds a health and life insurance license.  She loves meeting new people and prides herself on the relationships she builds with her clients. Angela lives in Thornton with her husband and best friend René. She has one beautiful daughter named Jennaé and a four-legged child named Preston.  Angela is a huge Broncos fan and loves spending time with her family, being crafty and creative with her daughter, decorating and spending lots of time outdoors in our beautiful state. She says her goal is to continue to grow and prosper as a businesswoman and educate her clients in every way possible in this ever-changing world of healthcare reform, but to also enjoy and cherish each moment in life with her family.

Cindy McCain

Employee Benefits Account Manager

Cindy assists our health insurance clients as a Group Benefits Account Manager. Cindy has an extensive background in the health insurance industry and is a fantastic asset to our group health insurance clients. Cindy says she is passionate about helping her clients and always tries to go above and beyond to help businesses with their health insurance needs. Cindy currently resides in Georgia with her husband of 36 years. Together they have two sons and a wonderful daughter-in-law. In her spare time, Cindy and her family love to scuba dive, hit the beach and travel to new places. Cindy also enjoys mentoring new moms and helping them navigate the crazy world of motherhood in her spare time. When asked what is important to her Cindy says, “My faith, my family, and wanting to do whatever I do with excellence.”

Michelle McDonald

Insurance Advisor

Michelle joined the RSS team in May of 2016 as our in-house health insurance specialist and advisor for Group and Medicare plans. She has 22 years of experience in the health insurance industry. Michelle is a Colorado native and grew up in Westminster near Standley Lake. She still currently resides in Westminster where she is raising her son, Gavin with her husband, Rex. When not assisting and advising clients about the ever-changing health insurance system, she loves spending time with her family and friends and enjoys cooking/baking, yard work, photography, and walking her family’s dog “Goose.” And of course, she’s a BRONCOS fan!! When asked what’s most important to her she says, “God, family and friends.” Michelle really cares about people and wants to make a difference in their lives.

Evie O’Brien

Office Administrator

Evie joined our team in March 2022 as our agency Office Administrator. She’s a Colorado native living in Lakewood, and has seven siblings, including a twin sister. She’s worked in the insurance industry for five years and has a certificate in Basic American Sign Language.  Evie loves reading, bowling, fishing, and camping. She’s a fan of country music and enjoys spending her free time with friends and family. She also likes to cook and bake and LOVES coffee!

Employee Benefits Advisor

Genisi joined the RSS team in June of 2020 as an Employee Benefits Advisor. Genisi grew up in both Thornton and Northglenn, Colorado. She is a 5th generation native of our great state! Genisi graduated from Northglenn High school and has attended both Regis and Metro University. She currently attends Metro University, working on finishing her Bachelor and Masters degree. Genisi is currently studying accounting to round out her understanding of business. Genisi is happily married to an amazing man, Dave. She has one 22 year old son, Justin, who is a very talented artist. She has a 30lb Maine coon cat named Filo, and 2 dogs, Hagar and Dakota. Also, her dad Dale is her best friend. Genisi says she “has so many interests she can’t keep up with them all,” so she dabbles in a bit of everything. She sings in a classic rock band that hardly ever has gigs…they just like to play together.
