The concept of making a distance duo album in isolation by circulating in a specific manner almost at the same time played and recorded tracks emerged on its own. So Christina Ruf and me started sending tracks back and forth during the last lockdown.

The music outgrew the concept.

Ferro Taylor finally released the debut album “Serious Soft”. It´s jumping back and forth between abstract noisy pieces and instrumental pop miniatures. Ferro Taylor is a duo project with Aras Levni Seyhan and some kind of spin of of The Freindly Guitar Trio.

Hi there,
despite of the whole corona situation a lot of things were happening lately. So here a quick overview:

My Solo project is now a Duo. I´m happy to play with Drummer Chris Pruckner now.
Not sure yet if we continue as a duo or if there will be a third one soon…

In May i released the first edition of my new series “Fragile Findings”:

It´s all solo guitar improvisation. Recording this stuff is part of my daily routine and I thought it´s time to open up that archives. There will be a second one soon but in the meantime there´s other stuff to work on:

Ferro Taylor´s album “Serious Soft” will be released as soon as the CDs arrive. This music is very important to me and I´m very happy that we opened up these files again after two years of ripening by itself and remastered it.

Also I´m in the process of mixing an Album with the Duo “Monza Blitz”. It will be released later that year on vinyl, CD and as a video made by Stefan Voglsinger.

I mixed and played guitars on a little EP by Frin, a project with Pop Singer/Songwriter Dietlind Höfle.

Also i left some guitar tracks on new records of Felix Kramer, Werckmeister, Mauracher as well as on some music for a TV film which might lead into a new project wwith B.Fleischmann.

The artwork is by the great Viennese artist Anna Kohlweis. Alex Vatagin mixed and mastered this album.
