Welcome to Messiah’s Congregation A Reformed Church in Brooklyn serving Jesus Christ in the metropolitan area — and beyond.Rev. Schlissel will be in the pulpit of Trinity Evangelical Church in Pratt, Kansas on Lords Day, October 17. In 3 sessions (school hour, all ages) the A.M. service and the P.M. service, Pastor Steve will present the case for Justifying Romans, by viewing it through a better lens than that which many are accustomed to employing. The old lens chops the letter into abstracted pieces in order artificially construct a Romans Road. The better lens, canonically demanded, and supported throughout the text, enables us to grasp the gist of the whole, rather than dismembered pieces arbitrarily chosen to fit OUR purposes. Better to see it as the author did, eh?

Each Lords Day we gather to worship and enjoy our Living God. Fellowship time hums from 1:30; the Call to Worship the Almighty is issued at 2pm. We meet at 251 Avenue U in Brooklyn, one short block from the Avenue U stop on the F line. If youre driving, on-street parking is free and plentiful in the area. If more detailed directions are needed, call 917.757.9297.
You are also welcome to join our Facebook live stream. Bulletins—which contain the order of service and specify the readings and psalms/hymns to be sung—are also posted each Sunday on our Facebook page (not on this website).
