In 1970, a group of dedicated horsemen and women met to form OET.To solve the growing resistant towards equestrians using Oregon's public trails and camps.Today our challenge is to maintain safe equestrian access on our public lands in harmony with other user groups through education.The OET video helps to further explain what Oregon Equestrian Trails is all about. OET’s mission is to keep horse camps and trails not only open but useable! We do this in cooperation with Oregon State Parks, Oregon Dept. of Forestry (ODF), USFS and many other agencies and land managers!!

Our monthly newsletter full of great articles and lots of timely information including what’s happening in different areas of Oregon in our chapters!
You can choose to receive a hard copy or get one each month in your email. When you are a member.
Our chapters have Annual Prize Rides, Poker Rides Fundraising rides, Educational Speakers, New Years rides, Horseback Easter Egg Hunts, Christmas parties and that’s just to name a few!
Horse Camp Annual Maintenance as well as Trail maintenance and Blazing Trails are all available if you wish to join in.
Each Chapter has Events and Projects throughout the year.
2022 will be a great year for Equestrians and Horse Lovers!
Crater Lake will have some new horse trails for you to try out in the Summer. Milo McIver in Estacada is a year around horse trail with great amenities! There will be Scavenger Hunt there in August put on by the North Valley Chapter! Check out our calendar in the drop down menu above. Our Chapters have a monthly meeting almost every month of the year.
