TAC is the host to over 70 aquatic events and visited by more than 450,000 patrons annually. TAC is the home for the TAC TITANS Swim Team, NCHSAA Championships, Special Olympics of North Carolina, the National Black Heritage Meet and many more. Our December Championship meet series comes to an end this weekend with the 2020 TAC TITANS Jingle Bells Meet, December 18-20. This meet is for our 12 and under swimmers and offers the 11-12 swimmers a chance to swim Prelims/Finals. Nearly 400 of the Triangle and Sandhills area top young athletes will be participating inThe premier event of our December Championship season returns to TAC with this weekend s TYR Blizzard Blitz. Nearly 500 top athletes from North Carolina, South Carolina and Virginia will compete in this meet that counts towards the USA Swimming s Virtual Winter Junior Nationals Championship. The meet kicks off Thursday evening with the 1000 Freestyle sessionsDecember Championship season kicks off this weekend when the Triangle Aquatic Center hosts the 2020 YOTA 18 U Winter Championship. USA Swimming s Winter Junior Nationals event has gone virtual this year as qualified athletes swim locally between December 1-13 to post their best time for each qualified event.
