The Mayo Summer Undergraduate Research Fellowship (SURF) Program, sponsored by Mayo Graduate School, is a great way to build your skills as a young scientist or test your inclinations toward research.
Each year, 80-90 undergraduate students from around the United States come to Mayo Clinic in Rochester, Minn., to work beside both young and established scientists on a broad range of biomedical research questions. A limited number of fellowships are also available at the Mayo Clinic campuses in Jacksonville, Florida and Scottsdale, Arizona.

The Summer Transportation Internship Program for Diverse Groups (STIPDG) provides a unique opportunity to gain valuable professional experience and skills that will complement your academic pursuits. This hands-on program is designed to mentor and cultivate tomorrow's leaders, strengthen their understanding of the transportation industry and prepare them for future public service opportunities.

The Research Experiences for Undergraduates (REU) program supports active research participation by undergraduate students in the study areas funded by the National Science Foundation (NSF). REU Sites meaningfully engage groups of about 10 to 12 students in ongoing research programs or in research projects designed for the REU program. Students receive stipends and, in many cases, assistance with housing and travel. Students supported through NSF must be citizens or permanent residents of the United States or its territories. Students are immersed in special-topics workshops, professional development seminars, research projects, and network-building opportunities. RESEARCH EXPERIENCE FOR UNDERGRADUATES (REU)
NNCI Research Experience for Undergraduates (REU) Program in NanotechnologyResearch Experience for Undergraduates (REU) programs are an excellent way for undergraduates to become acquainted with scientific research and graduate student life. REU programs typically consist of an intensive 10 week summer research experience at a university different than your own. Most research centers sponsor REU-like programs as part of their education and outreach efforts.
The NNCI does not offer a network-wide REU program, but many of the NNCI sites conduct their own separate programs and the details for these are listed below. You must apply to each program separately.
The NNCI REU program will have a networked NNCI REU Convocation. The Convocation is an end of program technical conference (2-3 days) held at one of the sites. CNFwill host in August 2019. Participants from NNCI REU site programs will travel to Cornell University to present their results in poster and oral formats and network with their peers. This is a wonderful culmination of the research experience. Most NNCI sites listed below will participate in the Convocation.

This internship is well suited for individuals seeking careers in fields such as marketing, public relations, non-profit management, business, public administration, and hospital administration. All internships are located in Memphis, TN.
We are currently seeking internship applicants for Summer (May - August, 2019).
Candidates must be available full time, 40 hours a week and able to work Monday through Friday and some evenings and weekends, as necessary.

How to Apply Frequently Asked Questions Past Scholarship Recipients Their Projects Fellows Press Room Nearly $5 million has been awarded to 206 brilliant young people through the Davidson Fellows Scholarship.
The Ron Brown Scholar Program seeks to identify African-American high school seniors who will make significant contributions to society. Applicants must excel academically, exhibit exceptional leadership potential, participate in community service activities and demonstrate financial need. The applicant must be a US citizen or hold a permanent resident visa card. Current college students are not eligible to apply.
Each year, a minimum of ten students will be designated Ron Brown Scholars and will receive $10,000 annually for four years, for a total of $40,000.
Application Deadline
The Ron Brown Scholar Program currently has two deadlines for applications (students must be current high school seniors at the time of their application):
November 1st - application will be considered for the Ron Brown Scholar Program AND forwarded to a select and limited number of additional scholarship providers.
January 9th - final postmarked deadline in order to be considered for only the Ron Brown Scholar Program ONLY.
Application materials must be mailed in one packet. Transcripts and letters of recommendation should not be sent under separate cover. Incomplete, e-mailed or faxed applications will not be considered.
