For protection of health of students and staff, everyone entering the campus is required to observe the infection control measures currently implemented, and adhere strictly to the safety measures in a facility opened for classes or individual/group work. (Details)Infection Control and Safety MeasuresAll staff and students MUST complete the online health declaration form [Here or on the HKBU Mobile app] before entering the campus AND wear a mask for all activities on campus. Individuals under compulsory quarantine or with respiratory infection symptoms will be denied access to the campus.In addition, all students MUST observe good personal hygiene and adhere strictly to the following safety measures in a facility opened for classes or individual/group work:When all students in the room face the same direction, for example in normal lecture mode, there is no restriction in the minimum distance between seats. However, students are encouraged to sit apart from each other, especially when there are available empty seats. When students carry out group work and need to face each other, the distance between the seats should be kept to at least 1m apart.There must be no eating or drinking except water.Body temperature will be checked at campus entrances, as well as at facilities entrances, wherever possible.Opening time of the facility will be divided into sessions lasting not longer than half a day. All students MUST leave the facility at the end of each session. Disinfection of tabletops, chairs and equipment such as computers will be carried out by staff after each session.Students using labs/studios for individual and group work must sign in and sign out at the register provided by the Programme Team or venue administrator and observe all the safety rules. Please note that from 6 July 2020 onwards, diploma collection will be handled by the University’s Academic Registry (AR) at their service counter. Note: As an added security measure to address students’ and colleagues’ concern over safety, the University is setting up checkpoints at main entry / exit points on campus and at key buildings. Authorisation In case you are unable to collect the diploma in person, please authorise a representative to collect it on your behalf. The representative must present: his/her HKID Card / Passport; a copy of your HKID Card; and a completed “Authorization Form for the Collection of Diploma” (available at the AR’s homepage at http://ar.hkbu.edu.hk/file/129) OR a letter of authorisation (with your signature and student number) specifying the name of the person collecting the diploma. Letter that does not bear the name of the person collecting the diploma will not be accepted. Persons other than the one named in the authorisation letter will not be allowed to collect the diploma. Collection of Graduation Diploma for Graduates Residing outside Hong Kong A one-off special arrangement is being made to have the diploma couriered to the graduates residing outside Hong Kong. Please fill out the online form latest by 16 December 2019 if you would like to take this arrangement. Please prepare an image of your identity proof (HKID Card is most preferred) before you start.
