After removing some fueses, my air bag light stays on, never did this before.anything dealing with saftey restraint system, ie airbags and seatbelts, and its light comes on, trying to kill the power to your ecu will do nothing, no matter what make in every car i have dealt with, the srs stuff has a seperate computer, with a constant power supply and marked wire harnesses that are a different color you have to get your car scanned and then reset by the scanner its a saftey measure that if the light ever comes on, it has to be scanned to make sure nothing is wrong with your srs i suggest getting it scanned with a vag-com you can try to go on to vwvortex.com and go to the regional section to see if anyone live around you that can do it for you it might cost you a beer or free, depending on person if you cannot do that you can either go to autozone to use their scanner, usually thats free, or pay at the dealerthe SRS light turned on a couple days ago and has remained lit. what does it mean and how do you fix it?It means that either there`s a problem with your airbag deployment mechanism or it`s a fault in the electrical system ie:the light is coming on when there`s really nothing wrong with the air bags .either way,take it to a certified Honda dealer wouldn`t want to find out the hard way,would you?Hi Linz,long time i was driving and i noticed that the airbag light keeps flashing and wont stop. how can i fix it?You probably have a malfunctioning sensor. Ventilation and air conditioning pushbutton lights started blinking most of the time, A few months later the airbag light started remaining on for a while after engine start. Finally the airbag light is on full time. Is this an airbag deployement risk?The risk that it will go off when it isn t supposed to is pretty slim, I d think. The bigger problem would be that it doesn t go off when it should. It may be the sensor going bad. Although, on a lot of cars just disconnecting the battery will cause that light to some on. I d strongly suggest taking to the dealership, though. You really want those things working properly.
