OER@AVU, an African Virtual University initiative launched in 2011 with at least 288 OERs, has been a great contribution to the African and global OER communities. As of July 2018, OER@AVU has a total of 1,623 resources. This follows the addition of 1,335 new OERs released in 2018 under the Creative Commons license CC BY 2.5.
