Our teaching must not only be qualified in their field, but also have a teaching qualification and suitable experience as well. Specialist teachers are employed who are experts in their field. AIS teachers and support teachers know how to challenge and support children in their learning. The Council of International Schools commended AIS on the high level of respect between staff and students at AIS. Many of our teaching staff come from Australia and New Zealand, and over 30% have a Masters Degree. Requirements to enter an international school in Vietnam

International schools are currently open to all students from 2 to 18 years old who carry a foreign passport or are residents of Vietnam. All students whose first language is not English are expected to commit to learn English as a means of participating fully in the programmes and taking part in international examinations at schools. How to apply to an Australian school in Vietnam?

How is the school system in Vietnam?

Education in Vietnam is a state-run system of public and private education run by the Ministry of Education and Training. It is divided into five levels: preschool, primary school, secondary school, high school, and higher education. Formal education consists of 12 years of basic education. Basic education consists of five years of primary education, four years of secondary education, and three years of high school education. The majority of basic education students are enrolled on a daily basis.
