Meet Cory Reese

I am a Licensed Clinical Social Worker, and owner of

Bright Way. I offer solution-focused therapeutic services.

I have 20 years of social work experience helping people through some of the most challenging times of their lives. I also provide regular speaking engagements on the topics of depression management, overcoming adversity, and tools for building trauma into post-traumatic growth.

Trauma and PTSD

Trauma can have a dramatic impact on how we see ourselves and the world. Some common examples of trauma are:

Religious trauma & faith transitions

A history of abuse

Being neglected as a child

Experiencing spiritual or religious abuse

Being in an accident or natural disaster

Being attacked or assaulted

Witnessing domestic abuse or violence

Trauma as a result of being part of the LGBTQ community

I am trained in EMDR therapy which is an evidence-based treatment that is highly effective in helping people recover from trauma and other difficult life experiences. I provide a safe, non-judgmental environment for healing. You don't need to face this challenge alone.

Chronic Illness and Pain

I have 17+ years of experience working specifically with people who are suffering with chronic illness and pain. I can help teach coping skills, tools for managing depression and anxiety, mindfulness, and empowerment. I would love to help you strengthen hope, joy, and mental health.

Stress is a normal part of life. But if the stress becomes long-term, or difficult to manage on your own, the outside perspective and support of a therapist can be very helpful. Some common stressors that people seek help for are:
