. . . when the ib vogt GmbH Group (‘Group’) was initially founded as an engineering firm, consulting to companies engaged in the fabrication of the earliest commercially mass-produced solar cells. Over the course of a decade, the firm had successfully consulted on some of the world’s most technical challenges in photovoltaic cell manufacturing and fabrication design; indeed the ibin our name stands for ingenieurbüro, a German word which translates to engineering office.

In 2002, the firm swiftly moved into downstream project development with the founding of ib vogt GmbH. Global demand for clean energy rapidly grew and the Group successfully navigated expansion across Europe and into Asia, North Africa and the United States. Along the way, there have been many ‘firsts’, including the largest solar power plant in Egypt; largest uniform solar power plant in the Philippines; the first bifacial solar power plant in Thailand, and the first utility-scale solar PPA in the state of Kentucky. As of today, the Group has almost 400 employees with operations in more than 17 countries across 5 continents, and a global pipeline of nearly 7 GWp.

While there have been exponential advancements in renewable energy technologies over the past few decades, the Group remains singularly focused on developing large-scale solar projects. We have developed a proven expertise in this field, and strongly believe that integrated power plant solutions offer the most attractive risk-adjusted returns for both our shareholders and utility, corporate and municipal offtaker partners.
