Path information includes maps, publications, and accommodation near the path. 100 Mile Challenge Annual 100 Mile Challenge The annual 100 mile event is the LDWA's flagship event. Held every year in a different part of the country, to coincide with the late May Bank Holiday, up to 500 people gather to walk 100 miles in 48 hours. The LDWA is an Association of people with the common interest of walking long distances in rural, urban, mountainous or moorland areas. By joining the LDWA, you will meet other like-minded long distance walkers and gain access to information on walking events and long distance walking routes all over the UK. Some of our members like to participate in our many challenge events, with distances ranging from 20 to 100 miles. Others like to walk along long distance paths over several days, whilst many of our members like to socialise as they walk with one of our 43 geographic groups. Annual membership costs just 18.00 for UK residents or 25.50 for UK families (two adults and any number of children under 18). Discounts are available if you choose to pay by direct debit and separate rates apply if you live overseas. Find out more LDWA is run entirely by volunteers and we work hard to keep costs as low as possible. But costs are always rising so to help us avoid big increases in our modest membership fee, additional donations are always welcomed. Anyone who feels that LDWA has gone the extra mile to provide exceptional service is particularly encouraged to use this facility.
