The main craft trades have been designated by SOLAS and come within the scope of the Statutory Apprenticeship system. In September I began a Graduate Diploma in Software Development at NUIGalway. The skills I learnt with GRETB have given me a huge advantage in my studies and I hope to continue on to a Masters degree next year. After successfully completing two software development courses (Java Programmer and MySQL/php), I am now self employed within the IT sector and now managing my own software development company based here in Galway (Appro), employing individuals that have also come through the GRETB Training Centre.
