Through an annual three day convention that is held each January. The convention is open to athletic trainers, athletic training students and other healthcare professionals At its annual convention, the EATA gives out eleven $3000 student scholarships. Scholarships are funded by the EATA, NATA District 1 and District 2 as well as private companies. The EATA gives out over $10,000 in research grants to those individuals whose research is making a difference in the field of athletic training. The eleven person executive board consists of a president, president-elect, past president, secretary, treasurer and the three district officers from both District 1 and District 2.
