This site is intended to give up-to-date information about our club meetings and special events. The Society welcomes everyone to join the club, whether you drive carriage horses or just have an interest in the history and traditions of carriage driving. Open meetings are held on the third Wednesday of the month at 6:30 pm at Orleton Farm in Stockbridge, Mass. Some meetings feature an informational speaker as well as the normal business.Next Event Wednesday, December 9 7:00 pm: will be a Virtual General Meeting. Check out the newsletter for link and instructions.Hi Everyone,We continue to hunker down during (hopefully) the waning days of the 2020 pandemic as we wait for a safe time to resume activities. For now, we will hold our meetings virtually with first one planned for this Wednesday, December 9 at 7:00 pm. See the instructions and links for connecting to the Zoom meeting in the sections below.To prepare anyone who is not familiar with Zoom, we have set a Practice Zoom Session for December 8 at 7:00 pm. See the links and instructions below.We are also planning a virtual annual meeting in January. More details will be forthcoming as we get the details ironed out. The Society hosts a variety of events, such as driving clinics, informal drives, the Orleton Farm Pleasure Driving Show, Winter Classic Sleigh Rally, Lenox Tub Parade, and Summer Fun Day. Fun Day was created as an opportunity for recreational drivers, as well as seasoned whips, to experience games and friendly competition. The members enjoy the social aspect the Society brings to each meeting and special event, where friends get together to have fun, drive their horses, and to learn more about carriage driving.The Colonial Carriage and Driving Society was officially formed on January 15, 1989. Twenty-five years later, the club continues to grow and offer many exciting activities.
