Fans of interactive theater and living history who want to commune with their inner Edwardian in a raucous, Barbary Coast bordello atmosphere need look no farther than Vau de Vire Society’s ‘The Soiled Dove.’ A dinner-entertainment event that’s similar to – but more raunchy and informal – than the late, lamented Teatro ZinZanni.

Just like a good horror movie, Hell in the Armory used a combination of shock and suspense, bolstered by Vau de Vire’s high production value, to keep visitors on edge. It didn’t matter that I knew it was a ‘show’ — the sets, actors, and stories had me distracted enough to forget it was fake.
