The manual includes key considerations, organizational tips and best practices for developing and administering virtual programs.

This booklet, developed by engAGED in partnership with the Eldercare Locator and Older Adults Technology Services, provides older adults with information on available technology options, how to access technology and how technology can help them stay engaged and connected to their communities. engAGED and Commit to Connect: Virtual Social Engagement Summit

Join engAGED and Commit to Connect for a joint two-day Virtual Summit! Taking place August 2 and 3 from 1:00-3:30 pm ET, the Summit will bring together researchers and national, state and local leaders for discussions regarding the current state of social isolation research and practical implications for the social engagement work of the Aging Network, disability network and partner organizations. The Summit will also showcase local examples of engagement opportunities and creative solutions that address social isolation and spur ideas for replication at the local level.

Intergenerational Programs Potpourri: Tips and Strategies to Develop Engagement Opportunities Between Generations

The June engAGED webinar focused on engagement opportunities for older and younger generations. During the webinar, Generations United provided a framer on intergenerational programs, and tips for local organizations developing intergenerational programs. Three local organizations then highlighted intergenerational programs offered by their organizations and discuss how other organizations can create and implement similar offerings.

Serving Hispanic and Latino Older Adults and Caregivers: Creative Approaches for Social Engagement and Connection

The engAGED May webinar focused on social engagement among Hispanic and Latino older adults and caregivers. Speakers from MHP Salud, Ventura County Area Agency on Aging, Berks County Area Agency on Aging and the Centro Hispano Daniel Torres highlighted cultural considerations and social engagement programs and services for this population.
