We have had to make the difficult decision to cancel our annual Halloween party this year. In its stead we will be having a Halloween Costume Photo Contest. Photos can be submitted by PM to the Fort Ashby Library Facebook page between October 1 and October 21, 2020. Contest rules and information will be posted on our Facebook page or you can pick up a flyerat the Library. Pictures will be posted from October 23-30, 2020. The photos with the most likes in each category will win. Winners will be announced October 31, 2020. Sponsored by the Friends of the Fort Ashby Library. Children who visit the library between October 26 and October 31 will receive a free book and treat bag so be sure to stop by! Welcome to the Public Library in Fort Ashby, WV We are a branch of the Mineral County Library Association, which includes our main library Keyser-Mineral County Public Library in Keyser, WV and the branch, Burlington Public Library in Burlington, WV. We offer the community many wonderful programs, such as, Children's Story Hour, Ft. Ashby Readers, and the Summer Reading Program. Some of the services we offer are Inter-Library Loans, Fax Copy Services, Notary and Wi-Fi Services. Be sure to check out our calendar for times and dates of any events and programs we have going on. October 20 -- 11 am -- Fort Ashby Readers: The Group will meet to discuss this month's selection Wonder by R. J. Palacio. October 20 -- 2:30 pm Homeschool Group Meeting: Group 1: Fall Unit Study 2. October 20 -- 4:30 pm -- Junior Book Club: Grades 5 through 12. The group will be discussing The Giver by Lois Lowry. October 21 -- 11 am -- Virtual Story Time: Join us for a Facebook Live Story Time with Miss Wendi!
