Why a new name?

Girls Rock Lawrence is now AMPLIFY LAWRENCE! We are proud of our history with the Girls Rock Camp Alliance and we will continueto be active partnersworking to meettheir mission. GRCA supports camps across the world, each focused on the mission of inclusivity and social justice working towards collective liberation by serving local communities.

Year after year our camp community has included femmes and those with marginalizedgender identities, broadracial identities, and socioeconomic backgrounds. The name change was initiated by campers, and we hope the new name will help future campers and volunteers feel welcome in our community. We will continue to offer opportunities for marginalized groups to AMPLIFY their voices through the joy of music and power of community.
