Following the cancellation of the intended World Dairy Summit in Chile, the Danish National Committee of the IDF hosted the first IDF Global Dairy Conference in Copenhagen from 13th October to 15th October 2021.
IDF Business meetings were held from October 9th to 12th.
The theme of the conference was A changing climate for dairy.
All sessions addressed this very important issue for dairy in the years to come. IDF members have made serious commitments to contributing to mitigate climate change, but the climate at consumer level is also changing rapidly. Our efforts to stay at the centere of the consumers minds as producers of essential, healthy and sustainable products will be an important part of the conference.

IDF World Dairy Summit 2021 - CANCELLED
Due to the Covid-19 outbreak, the IDF has taken the decision that the IDF World Dairy Summit 2021, which was due to be held inChile, will be cancelled.
The Covid-19 outbreak has also affected the scheduling of the following IDF event due to be held this year:

IDF World Dairy Summit 2019
23 -26 September - Istanbul, Turkey
This year’s theme for the World Dairy Summit was"Milk for Life",representing not only milk being one of the most important foods for human nutrition but also the many socio-economic impacts it has on society.
The event was based at the Hilton Bomonti Hotel & Conference Centre Istanbul, and featured a Dairy Leaders’ Forum, IDF Forum and 8 conferences over the course of four days.
The Welcome Reception took place on the evening of Sunday 22nd and other evening events included a Farmers’ Dinner (Tuesday 24th) and Gala Dinner (Wednesday 25th). In addition, a number of Technical Tours were being held on Thursday 26th, Friday 27th and Saturday 28th.

IDF World Dairy Summit 2018 held in Daejeon
The theme for the 2018 World Dairy Summit was "Dairy for the Next Generation!", representing a shared determination to rise to new challenges and advance the dairy industry.
The event was based at the Daejeon Convention Centre (DCC), opening on Monday 15 October and featured a Leaders’ Forum, IDF Forum, 9 conferences, and 3 special sessions over the course of four days. The evening lineup included a Gala Dinner and themed events like a National Day and Farmers’ Dinner. In addition, a number of Technical Tours were held on Friday, 19th October.

IDF World Dairy Summit 2017 held in Belfast
The UK dairy industry brought together the global dairy community to focus on how to Make a Difference with Dairy at the International Dairy Federation (IDF) World Dairy Summit 2017 in Belfast.
Organised by UK-IDF, the UK National Committee of IDF, the 2017 event took place from 29th October to 3rd November 2017 at the Belfast Waterfront conference centre. Over 1,000 dairy experts from across the globe gathered in Belfast to share their in-depth knowledge of dairy and bring the audience up to speed on the latest developments in the industry.
The theme of the Summit was "Making a Difference with Dairy" and it examined the impact a vibrant, efficient and sustainable dairy industry, with nutrient rich and innovative dairy products, can have on the health of current and future generations, animal health, dairy science and technology, the environment and much more.
It featured eight conferences focusing on marketing; nutrition and health; dairy policy and economics; dairy science and technology; food safety; farm management; animal health and welfare; and the environment. The event also included several high profile sessions, including the IDF World Dairy Leaders’ Forum and the IDF Forum, as well as a series of technical tours showcasing the UK industry’s state-of-the-art infrastructures.
