Katie Fross placed 3rd overall, Jagger Borth 8th overall, and the team placed 10th in Group Judging. Team members were:Trent Haverkamp, Megan Owens, Lucas Scott, Katie Fross, Jagger Borth, Peter Bergkamp, and Abigail Kortokrax. The team is coached byJake Ziggafoos (Assistant Coach), Colby Moorberg, and DeAnn Presley.NACTA Crops Team Takes National TitleThe K-State Crops Team won first place in the national contest hosted by Murray State. Individual placings were: Nate Dick, first place; Kaylin Fink, third place. Furthermore, the team placed first in the Precision Ag contest. Individual placings were: Jayden Meyer, first in combines; Nate Dick, first in planters. The team also took second place in the quiz bowl competition.Nathan Nelson Named Faculty of the SemesterDr. Nathan Nelson, professor in soil fertility and nutrient management, was named Faculty of the Semester by the College of Agriculture Student Council. Winners of this award are nominated by students and voted on by members of the council. There are two faculty members selected per semester.NACTA Crops Team wins Regional ContestThe K-State Crops Team took First place out of nine four-year division teams in the NACTA regional contest at Nebraska College of Technical Agriculture on March 8. Individual placings were: Nate Dick 3rd, Kaylin Fink 5th, Luke Ryan 7th, Jayden Meyer 8th, Leah Parsons alternate.
