Make changes to the header and footer on the "Edit Header and Footer" tab on the left. 2020 - 2021 School Year | Año escolar | 學年 Dear FUSD Community,At Friday s Special Board Meeting, July 10, 2020, the FUSD Board of Education provided direction to start the 2020-21 school year under a distance learning model. The board also provided direction that distance learning would remain in place based on the following: Alameda County has seen no new cases for 7 days; Reevaluate at that time and hold a new discussion; Propose exemptions to the distance learning model were asked to be brought before the board for approval.Our ultimate goal is to return students to campus and continue their work in the classroom. Unfortunately, at this time we do not feel this can be done in a manner that provides an appropriate level of safety for students, teachers and staff. We will spend this time leading up to the start of the school year identifying resources and services to assist families as we move forward.My thanks to everyone who has provided their feedback and assisted with this process. Special thanks also to members of the FUSD Task Force and sub-task forces for their collaborative work on opening the school year. We will work with our employee groups on the opening of the school year.
