Hello C4W users,We hope you ve had a nice break between semesters, and that you are all safe and healthy!The Centre for Writers tutors will continue to work remotely to provide writing support in the fall semester.Our opening hours are 10:00 a.m. - 10:00 p.m. (MDT), Monday through Friday.You can book synchronous online appointments through our scheduling system:https://ualberta.mywconline.net/.Here are some commonly asked questions:How do I book an online appointment?You can book an online appointment through our scheduling system (https://ualberta.mywconline.net/). If you do not have an account with the C4W yet, you need to register for one using yourualberta.caemail address. Once logged in, you can view our schedule and book appointments in advance. An online appointment is alive video, voice, and chatappointment that allows you to meet remotely with a tutor.Please read the QuickGuide to Online Appointments for more detailed instructions. Your tutor will also be able to help you.Can I submit documents before my appointment? (NEW feature)Yes, you can. Our scheduling system now allows you to attach documents to the booking form. You may attach assignment descriptions, writing requirements, your texts, etc. However, your tutor will NOT read these documents in advance. If there are technical issues preventing you from having a successful live session, your tutor will read these documents and provide feedback during the time you booked. At the end of the booked time, the tutor will attach feedback to the appointment form you created, and you will be able to access it there.How many appointments can I book per week?You can book up to TWO 30-minute long appointments per week, and you can book two weeks in advance.What do I do if there are no available appointments on the schedule? (NEW feature)One option is tojoin the drop-in list. You can chat online with Justin (our Program Coordinator) onGoogle Chat(chat.google.com) during our opening hours. Searchcentreforwriters@ualberta.cato have a live conversation. Justin can get you on the drop-in list.Another option is to join the waitlist on the scheduling system located on the right bottom corner of each day s schedule. Simply click on the waitlist and join to receive notifications when someone else cancels their appointments. If you get an email or text saying that an appointment is available, log in and book it quickly, as appointments will fill up fast.If you are still unable to book an appointment, you canemail your papers(c4wonline@ualberta.ca) for feedback within 2 business days.
