By Terry Loving

New American Standard Bible
“Justice is turned back, And righteousness stands far away; For truth has stumbled in the street, And uprightness cannot enter.”

By definition All Lives Matter means Every Human Being.
By definition Black Lives Matter perpetuates Racism.
We are equal…All Races…All of America.

I borrowed the above quote from an online commenter. The source and name of the commenter isn’t important – the comment is. As many people have stated, “All Lives Matter Is Missing the Point.” It seems that people who are stuck on that statement feel left out of the spotlight being shined on their lives to be of any importance. Yes, the lives of “every human being” should matter to all of humanity. If that were so there would be no wars, discrimination, racism, and mistreatment of others who do not look like you or even agree with your ideology.

“We are equal…All Races…All of America.”

So untrue! Never has been and most likely never will be that “All of America” and “All races” will be “equal.” Black people have been seeking, marching, begging, dying and fighting for equality ever since our ancestors were brought to America by force and others means necessary that satisfied white colonizers. African lives did not matter when they were shackled and packed in the bottom of slave ships like sardines, and they certainly did not matter when they reached America and were sold to white men for the purpose of servitude – a life of hard, cruel mistreatment consisting of beatings with whips, branded like animals and death if they tried to escape the daily torture. From Africa to America, the lives of black people did not matter – and to many – they still don’t and never will.

Another commenter wrote:
“All lives matter ~ this means Native American Lives Matter, White Lives Matter, Mexican lives matter, .. on on.. do you think I will stop stating this? I am not gonna glorify one race.. there are so many races in the world!!! All lives matter.. if you dont like reading it, go read your Bible!”

Well, if Native American lives mattered, why were they massacred, raped, displaced from their rightful land and treated like they did not matter? And we know how America feels about Mexicans – right Trump?
Remember the Trail of Tears?

The Trail of Tears was a series of forced relocations of approximately 60,000 Native Americans in the United States from their ancestral homelands in the Southeastern United States, to areas to the west of the Mississippi River that had been designated as Indian Territory. The forced relocations were carried out by government authorities following the passage of the Indian Removal Act in 1830. The relocated peoples suffered from exposure, disease, and starvation while en route to their new designated reserve, and approximately 4,000 died before reaching their destinations or shortly after from disease. The forced removals included members of the Cherokee, Muscogee (Creek), Seminole, Chickasaw, and Choctaw nations, as well as their African slaves. The phrase Trail of Tears originates from a description of the removal of many Native American tribes, including the Cherokee Nation relocation in 1838.[1][2][3] Between 1830 and 1850, the Chickasaw, Choctaw, Creek, Seminole, and Cherokee people (including mixed-race and black slaves who lived among them) were forcibly removed from their traditional lands in the Southeastern United States, and later relocated farther west.[4] State and local militias forced Native Americans who were relocated to march to their destinations.[5] The Cherokee removal in 1838 (the last forced removal east of the Mississippi) was brought on by the discovery of gold near Dahlonega, Georgia in 1828, resulting in the Georgia Gold Rush.[6] Approximately 2,000–8,000 of the 16,543 relocated Cherokee perished along the way.

Black Lives Matter Movement

“Black Lives Matter (BLM) is an international human rights movement, originating in the African-American community, that campaigns against violence and systemic racism towards black people. BLM regularly holds protests speaking out against police killings of black people, and broader issues such as racial profiling, police brutality, and racial inequality in the United States criminal justice system.[1]

When was the last time white America “campaigned against violence and systemic racism” towards white people? When was the last time white people protested against racial profiling, police brutality and racial inequality in the United States criminal justice system? Never!

White people in America do not have the same hard and painful issues to deal with as other races, especially blacks in America. Where is the equality and fair treatment when a white mob can storm a capital building with automatic weapons – nothing happens to them – and a black man gets murdered by the police in front of many witnesses without just cause? If that mob of white men had been black men, they would have been shot dead! It is fine for white men to grab their guns and demand their state open up during a pandemic so they can get a haircut – but black men cannot jog peacefully without being hunted down and murdered.

What Our Founders Meant by ‘Liberty and Justice for All’

The above article is worth reading. “I pledge allegiance to the flag of the United States of America”

We often recite these words in classrooms and at civic gatherings. When we pronounce the pledge, is it merely an obligatory ritual or do we listen attentively to all of the words and take them seriously?

The last words of the pledge are perhaps some of the most counter-cultural words of commitment we can speak: “with liberty and justice for all.”

Our ancestors envisioned a nation wherein liberty and justice would be for all people.

For some, however, “liberty” has been reduced to a license for self-centeredness and “justice” has been diminished to mere retaliatory or punitive action.

True liberty calls on us to express ourselves with civility and to respect the rights of those who think differently to do the same. Justice is commonly perceived as “the assignment of merited rewards or punishment.”
But the Old Testament prophets, especially Amos, knew that justice is much more than being affirmed for right behavior or punished for bad behavior.

Justice strives to create viable opportunities for all persons to succeed economically, vocationally and socially. Real justice seeks to create opportunities for the disadvantaged.
In the U.S. Pledge of Allegiance, we commit our lives to the pursuit of “liberty and justice for all.”
The phrase “for all” is inclusive, not discriminatory.

“For all” means we aim to provide and protect liberty and justice for all individuals regardless of gender, race, economic status, political ideology or religious background.

To preserve liberty and justice for the privileged few is indicative of a shallow theology and an uninformed patriotism.
While you and I are blessed to enjoy the privileges of freedom, many around our world still live under tyranny and can only dream of liberty and justice.

To many, these words will fall on deaf ears. The BLM is viewed as “racist” and “divisive” and accused of promoting segregation. The only people who feel this way are those who have not opened their minds and hearts to really listen to how black people feel living in America. Most importantly, they have not read about or understood how slavery impacted lives, even though that evil institution supposedly ended years ago. The most uttered response is, “Go back to Africa!” You silly people, we have never been to Africa, we were born in America. Please stop saying that – it sounds so ignorant.

News flash for you white people – you think the color of your skin makes all white people “equal?” Not hardly. Within your own race you have a class system. The “elites” view many of you poor whites as “poor white trash.” Lower class.” “White underclass.”

“Class distinctions were maintained above all in the apportionment of land. In Virginia in 1700, indentured servants had virtually no chance to own any, and by 1770, less than 10 percent of white Virginians had claim to more than half the land. In 1729 in North Carolina, a colony with 36,000 people, there were only 3,281 listed grants, and 309 grantees owned nearly half the land. “Land was the principal source of wealth, and those without any had little chance to escape servitude,” Isenberg writes. “It was the stigma of landlessness that would leave its mark on white trash from this day forward.” This was not just a Southern dynamic. The American usage of squatter traces to New England, where many of the nonelect—later called “swamp Yankees”—carved out homes on others’ land only to be chased off and have their houses burned.

The Founding Fathers were, as Isenberg sees it, complicit in perpetuating these stark class divides. George Washington believed that only the “lower class of people” should serve as foot soldiers in the Continental Army. Thomas Jefferson envisioned his public schools educating talented students “raked from the rubbish” of the lower class, and argued that ranking humans like animal breeds was perfectly natural. “The circumstance of superior beauty is thought worthy of attention in the propagation of our horses, dogs and other domestic animals,” he wrote. “Why not that of man?” John Adams believed the “passion for distinction” was a powerful human force: “There must be one, indeed, who is the last and lowest of the human species.”

“There must be one, indeed, who is the last and lowest of the human species.”
This is how even the lowest class of white people view black people – “the lowest of human species.” As I have stated in my article “It’s Been Too Long,” “You need an underdog to make you feel good about yourselves.” Even the whites viewed as “hillbillies,” “mountaineers” and “briar hoppers” have more rights and privileges than black people in America. All of the names are just as ugly as nigger. The hierarchy in America is white man, white woman, black man and lastly – the black woman. Seems to me the Founding Fathers were racist to the core. There is no real equality just the rich and the poor.

The ruling class shows no favoritism when it comes to money, ill-gotten gain and power. They rob the country of the taxes that are demanded of the working class to spend as they wish – stealing away help for the poor. They take lavish trips, buy mansions, golf excessively and finance business ventures – all from the hands of the working class who live paycheck to paycheck – if they have a job at all. There are millions of Americans out of work because of the COVID-19 virus. The rich are haggling over how much crumbs should the tax payers receive to help them stay in their homes, buy food, medicine just survive.

Americans dont see humans anymore only Republicans, Democrats, the Left, the Right, Liberals and Conservatives. Who is right in their opinions depends on which side you have aligned yourself with. People have been reduced to depending on politicians to feed them and care for their basic needs does anyone still call upon the name of the LORD?

So why are white Americans in downwardly mobile areas feeling a despair that appears to be driving stark increases in substance abuse and suicide? In my own reporting in Vance’s home ground of southwestern Ohio and ancestral territory of eastern Kentucky, I have encountered racial anxiety and antagonism, for sure. But far more striking is the general aura of decline that hangs over towns in which medical-supply stores and pawn shops dominate decrepit main streets, and Victorians stand crumbling, unoccupied. Talk with those still sticking it out, the body-shop worker and the dollar-store clerk and the unemployed miner, and the fatalism is clear: Things were much better in an earlier time, and no future awaits in places that have been left behind by polished people in gleaming cities. The most painful comparison is not with supposedly ascendant minorities—it’s with the fortunes of one’s own parents or, by now, grandparents. The demoralizing effect of decay enveloping the place you live cannot be underestimated. And the bitterness—the “primal scorn”—that Donald Trump has tapped into among white Americans in struggling areas is aimed not just at those of foreign extraction. It is directed toward fellow countrymen who have become foreigners of a different sort, looking down on the natives, if they bother to look at all.

Poor whites have their struggles as well, but lets be real you are not murdered in your own homes, while jogging or just taking a ride in your car just doing everyday activities.

New American Standard Bible
The rich rules over the poor, And the borrower becomes the lenders slave.

5Listen, my beloved brothers: Has not God chosen the poor of this world to be rich in faith and to inherit the kingdom He promised those who love Him? 6But you have dishonored the poor. Is it not the rich who oppress you and drag you into court? 7Are they not the ones who blaspheme the noble name by which you have been called?b

Proverbs 22:10
Cast out the scorner, and contention shall go out; yea, strife and reproach shall cease.
