High Power 18 GHz SPDT Switch High Frequency Surface Mount Cavity Filter Series 50 GHz SPDT Terminated Switch Uniquely Packaged High Frequency Filters Ka Band Cavity Filters SP2T Switch with MS connector Phase Trimmers RLC Electronics is proud to announce the addition of a high power 18 GHz SPDTswitch with N connectors to its product capabilities. The switch can handle 1000Watts at 100 MHz, 200 Watts at 4 GHz and 125W at 18 GHz, and provides highreliability, long life and excellent electrical performance characteristics over thefrequency range (including high isolation). Options on the switch includeoperating mode (failsafe or latching) and coil voltage (12 or 28 vdc), as well asindicator circuitry and a TTL Driver. Control connector options include solderterminals, in addition to special power connectors such as MS and sub-D.

Custom requirements for package dimensionsand connector orientation are often desired in system integration wherespace allocation and component arrangement have been pre-defined. Onefeature is for right angle or vertical connector launches with respect tostandard filter configurations. This allows for integrated transitions withoutthe need for external system transitions (e.g. jumper cables, microstrip…)which often result in higher mismatch, potential spurious modes andadditional cost. These filters are centered in Ka Band (26.5-40 GHz), with rejection carrying up to 50 GHz. The type of filter selected is usually determined by the percentage 3 dB bandwidth desired (which ranges from 0.2% of fc to 67% of fc). Parallel coupled, round rod, distributed resonators afford small size and high Q to achieve a near ideal bandpass response. RLC Electronics manufactures a single pole, two throw (position) type switch with an MS mating connector in an extremely compact package. The unit operates from DC-18 GHz, with options for frequency up to 26.5 GHz, 40 GHz, 50 GHz or 65 GHz as well. This switch provides extremely high reliability, long life and excellent electrical performance characteristics over the frequency range of DC-65 GHz; Typical isolation of 60dB (min), Insertion Loss of 1.0 dB (max), and VSWR of 1.5:1 (max). The unit can also be provided with sub-D mating connector, solder tabs/pins, or ribbon connectors, as desired.
