Students drove by to drop off books and equipment, see their teachers, get some pictures taken as well as receivesome goodies from their schools. There was also student meal distribution at some sites!HAVE A GREAT SUMMER! We are pleased to announce our QACPS 2020 Teacherof the Year, Ms. Amber Wright, Dance Instructor at Kent Island High School.She began teaching in Queen Anne's County as an Elementary School Teacher in 1995, taught two years in Prince George's County, and became Kent IslandHigh School'sDance Teacher in 2006.Nominated for Teacher of the Year honors on multiple occasions, she has twice been a Finalist.She takes great pride in educating students and providing the techniques for them to use to excel in performing.Ms. Wright received her BA in Communication Arts from Salisbury State University. She later followed her passion for teaching and became a certified teacher in Maryland where she has taught for over 20 years.
