An Important Note

Hello,

Due to Covid 19 and other factors this distributor is out of business.

If you bought a spray foam kit here and think you have a warranty issue please contact the manufacturer for support at A&B Filling by calling 262-754-8088.

Please look at the instructions that came with your kit. All of the answers are in this instruction manual.

If you need to buy a new gun, you should be able to buy one from any spray foam kit brand online and attach it to your tanks.

If you have any issues with your delivery, please contact the carrier directly.

Here is a FAQ for Troubleshooting:

How can I solve the most common issues?

Gun Clog: See Page 11 of the instruction manual that came with the kit.

Spraying Yellow or Blue Foam: When the kit is being sprayed off ratio, it will produce either crispy, yellow foam or syrupy blue foam. To adjust, follow the trouble shooting which begins on page 10 of the instruction manual that came with the kit.

Please note that running off ratio just requires adjustment, and is only a sign of potential manufacturer’s warranty if this is the very beginning of the kit. If you have been spraying the kit and then it stops spraying, this is a “Gun Clog,” not a warranty.

To read what is and isn’t covered under warranty, please refer to pages 15 and 16 of the instruction manual that came with your kit.

If you need a new sprayer to complete the kit – you can purchase online from any brand.

Leaking Face of the Gun: Contact the manufacturer at 262-754-8088 for replacement if you find the sprayer cannot make green foam.

Trouble Shooting Nothing Coming Out of Sprayer / No Pressure: If nothing is coming out of the sprayer, or it is not coming out with much or any pressure, general trouble shooting is available on page 10 and 11 of the instruction manual that came with your kit.

If the kit was previously used and is now low on pressure: It could be that the kit is empty. If the weight of the tanks are in the 30-40 pound range, this means the tanks were sprayed on their side.

If the kit is brand new and one line is not filling: If the date stamped on the top of the box has not passed, and the weights of the tanks are greater than 45 pounds each, contact the manufacturer to see if you need a replacement tank at 262-754-8088.

Coverage / Yield Questions: If you purchased from Sprayfoamkit.com, you received a brand new, unopened, complete spray foam kit. The yield of the kit is determined by how the sprayer uses the kit, therefore there has never been a guaranteed yield. The warranty covers manufacturer defects only. See pages 1, 15 and 16 of the instruction manual that came with your kit for more details. If you think you received something defective, please see warranty below.

Damaged In Transit or Missing Items: If you think something might be missing- inspect all of the boxes that came with your order. 99% of the time, it slipped down the side of a tank.

The terms and conditions require that you contact us within 2 weeks of receiving your product if something was broken from transit. If a hose/sprayer assembly was damaged during transit that was not brought to GET’s attention within 2 weeks of delivery, you can purchase a sprayer from any spray foam kit brand to use the kit.

Warranty: Warranties are being administered directly from the manufacturer. The kit must weigh more than 45 pounds in each tank to be considered for warranty. A defect means the kit never makes green foam, so if you made green foam with your kit, please go to the trouble shooting section of your manual.

We’ve loved serving you these past 13 years and apologize for any inconvenience this might cause you. We’ll miss doing business together.

Thank you and fare well,

The Team at Sprayfoamkit.com

Additional FAQs

What is the best way to clean up any messes?

The best way to avoid messes is to cover anything you don’t want foam on.

Cleanup of “B” component can be accomplished using soap and water. Make sure you get it while it is still in the liquid state.

Cleanup of “A” component is very tricky. Do not use water to clean up the “A” component chemical. Be sure to wear nitril or butyl rubber gloves and proper respiratory equipment. For a small amount of chemical, saturate a rag with dish soap and wipe it up. Be sure to do this while the chemical is still liquid. Be aware that there will most likely be a stain. For larger amounts of chemical, refer to the Material Safety Data Sheet, Section 6 for instructions to deal with a chemical spill.

What is the best way to store foam?

Make sure you store it between 40 degrees and 100 degrees Fahrenheit. Keep the boxes upright, and use the gun a minimum of once per week once opened (even more often in humid climates) to stream the chemicals into a waste bin. Failure to use the gun regularly results in an uneven discharge of chemicals.

What happens to foam if it is stored improperly?

If you store it at high temperatures, it reduces the shelf life. Pressurized containers may rupture if stored above 120°F.

If you store it at lower temperatures, the liquid components may separate.

Always store foam upright to prevent lose of foam pressure.

What happens to foam if sprayed in the wrong temperature?

Lower temperatures will cause slower flow rates and a longer cure time. The mixing and spray pattern will be adversely affected. It will be darker in color and may have a crunchy, glassy surface texture. Warm the tanks up in water, shake them vigorously, and check the chemical flow from the face of the gun.

Higher temperatures will cause faster flow rates, created by a higher pressure in the can. The yield and density of the foam may be affected in extreme conditions. Cool the tanks down, shake them vigorously and check the chemical flow from the face of the gun.

What happens if foam is sprayed onto surfaces that are not between 65 degrees and 85 degrees F?

Surfaces that are colder will result in reduced yield. This is caused by the cold surface extracting the heat from the exothermic reaction resulting in a reduced rise, thus a reduced yield.

Cold surfaces can also affect adhesion because the cold robs the heat from the chemical reaction. Using test patches, patience, and even a thermal scanner (around $50) can help your cold weather foaming go smoothly. By making sure that the foam really bonds to the surface, you create a seamless air barrier that protects your home for years to come.

If the surface is cold, there may also be condensation, which would be like spraying foam onto a wet surface. Therefore, the foam may not adhere to the surface. The only way to determine if this will happen is to do a test patch. If the foam sticks to the cold surface, spray the least thickness possible to simply raise the surface temperature to a level that would be closer to ideal temperatures. Allow that layer to cure. Then add the desired thickness to achieve your R-value.

If the surface is too cold you will hear a popping noise as the foam shrinks back.

Surfaces that are too warm may result in the foam curing too fast. This would also result in a reduced yield because the foam would not have enough time to reach the full rise before a tack free state. In addition, extreme cases may result in loss of adhesion because the foam would cure so fast it could not develop a bond to the surface before it hardened.

What to do if foam gets in the eyes or on the skin?

Wear goggles to protect your eyes. If foam gets in the eyes, flush eyes with water for 15 minutes and immediately consult a physician.

Wear Isocyanate rubber gloves to protect your skin. Use a Tyvek Suit to protect your clothes. If you do get it on your skin, scrub repeatedly with soap (abrasive cleaner or pumice soap works best) and water. Apply hand cream if irritation develops, and consult a physician if it persists.
