Purpose of The Asia Pacific Scout Check

The Asia Pacific Scout Check (or APSC) is a regular co-operative meeting of upstream oil and gas operators (the ‘members’) in the Asia-Pacific region. APSC members meet every 2 months to share accurate information (activity reports) about their exploration and production activities in the region.For information on joining, please see the ‘Membership’ and ‘How to Join’ sections of this website.

The APSC (formerly known as the SSC) is now incorporated into SEAPEX under their Corporate Scout Members. However, the organisation of APSC is independent of SEAPEX, and only SEAPEX members who are APSC Members can attend APSC meetings.

Activity reports are confidential. Only the operators’ and their partners can obtain and utilise the activity reports. APSC meetings are designed to allow for the equitable sharing of information between members, but no member is required to report information that has not been approved for release by the responsible government authority.

A member may be asked to report on all Asia-Pacific activities of their company, or on the activities of concessions in which they hold a non-operated interest (and where the operator is not represented at the Scout Check). The APSC is a meeting of members to exchange information and views, and full participation is actively encouraged.

The Asia Pacific Scout Check website has two primary functions:

To provide a platform for information exchange and to enable activity reports to be shared by Asia Pacific Scout Check Members.To provide prospective members with information on the Scout Check and the requirements for membership.

Existing Scout Check members can use their log-in information to confirm meeting attendance, check on meeting schedules, post information and participate in the bulletin board.
