BMJ Sexual Reproductive Health has introduced a new type of article called SRH Clinical Consult.These are practice-based educational articles on topics relevant to doctors, nurses and other healthcare practitioners working in clinical settings. Focussing on common patient scenarios, the expert authors use fictional examples to demonstrate the best options for treatment and management.The first topics to be covered are secondary amenorrhoea and contraceptive implants in adolescents. Despite limited knowledge of PrEP, it was found to be acceptable as HIV prevention.
