Las Vegas Neon Boneyard

The Neon Boneyard in Las Vegas is a part of the Las Vegas Neon Museum, and is the place where salvaged neon signs are kept before they are refurbished or (as with most of these signs) as a final destination. For a city that is constantly reinventing itself, the Neon Boneyard is a unique reminder of the Las Vegas that once was.

Las Vegas Pinball Hall of Fame

​The Pinball Hall of Fame in Las Vegas is a not for profit arcade full of the most amazing vintage (and modern) pinball and video game machines.

Harry Reid 2010 Healthcare Commercials

I took the photographs for these three television commercials for the Harry Reid 2010 Senatorial Campaign. The ads were designed to show the positive effects the Affordable Care Act was having on every-day Nevadans.

Asking Santa Claus

​It wasn't until my kids were 5 and 3 years-old that I discovered that the best photos with Santa Claus aren't the photos they pose for. The moments when they are talking privately with Santa are some of the most sincere and sweet I've ever photographed of them.

Next Christmas let the mall photographer take the posed shot, but when your children start talking to Santa make sure to snap some shots of your own.​

Lightning!

Last July we got one of those rare thunderstorms in Las Vegas that rolled in as fast as it left. But in the meantime there was a spectacular display of lightning that I was lucky enough to capture. I'm not much of a landscape photographer, but this image is one of my favorites.

Time Lapse with GoPro

Here are some time lapse videos I made with my GoPro Hero 3. One is of the clouds forming in my backyard, and another is of the Carpenter 1 Wild Fire on Mount Charleston near Las Vegas in 2013.

For the backyard clouds movie I set the camera on a kitchen timer so I could also get the 360º pan.

Disneyland: Neon in Cars Land

​The new Cars Land in Disney's California Adventure probably has the biggest collection of brand new neon signs in the world. All of them are meticulously crafted and look amazing at night. Even if you're not a fan of Pixar's movie "Cars", seeing these signs at night is a "must do" for anyone making the trip to Disneyland.

President Obama at Rally in Las Vegas

In 2010 I had the opportunity to take some pictures of President Obama for the Democratic Party of Nevada at a rally they held for the Reid Senatorial Campaign here in Las Vegas. It was one of the more memorable nights of picture taking for me.

If you ever get the chance to photograph the president, make sure to stand on his right hand side, as more often than not that's the direction he gestures towards.

Disneyland: Attractions

​Disneyland (and the entire Disneyland Resort including California Adventure) is not only one of my favorite places to visit, but also one of my favorite places to photograph. These images are some of my favorite that I've taken there.

Beeping Easter Egg Hunt

​Every Easter the Nevada Blind Children's Foundation has an Easter Egg Hunt for the boys and girls they work with as well as their friends and family. All of the eggs make a beeping sound and all of the children participate (with the seeing children wearing blindfolds).

It was one of the more unique events I've ever had the opportunity to photograph. In a way, I think the kids who had their eyesight might have gotten more out of it than the blind children.
