What a great night it was visiting with our alums during Friday s Alumni Night. It s like no time had passed at all. Once a Moorhead Theater Student, always a Moorhead Theater Student. We have one final show tonight. We are still planning on holding the show. The weather is a little snowy and windy so we urge you to use caution as you drive. Allow plenty of time to get to the theater. We are sold out again, but given the weather we will most likely have some tickets that won t be used. Again, show up early to claim them. We re all crossing our fingers hoping the winter storm headed this way won t affect our closing night performance Saturday, Nov. 30. Director Rebecca Meyer-Larson says she s never had to cancel a show for weather previously, but she will be in touch with administration regarding any possible changes for Saturday s performance. Let s hope Mother Nature can give us a break. Here is a story from earlier today.Opening night is always a little nerve-wracking, but we had a great time kicking off our latest musical production. Matilda The Musical. After the show, we held an ice cream social to help raise money to buy books for children at local elementary schools, homeless shelters, and the children s wings at both Sanford and Essentia. We re back again tonight with a show at 7pm (Get your tickets now as we are close to a sell-out). If you can t make it tonight join us Sunday at 2pm for our first matinee. The ice cream social will also be held after tonight s and tomorrow s performances. After each of these performances we d like to encourage you to come right out to the New Commons to greet your favorite cast members and buy an ice cream treat. We will have tables set up for with the novelty ice cream treats available for a free will donation (suggested $5). We have lots of ice cream in hopes of raising lots of money to buy lots of books!!
