狭心症は心筋に酸素を供給している冠動脈が動脈硬化などによる異常で発作的に胸の痛みや圧迫感の症状を引き起こす病気です。しかし、心臓の疾患は最新医療で治せます。カテーテルとは脚の血管から管を通し、狭心症の原因となっている血管部の治療を行います。これまでは胸を開いて心臓を直接治療しなければなりませんでしたが、カテーテル技術が発達したことにより患者の負担が減っています。カテーテルを行った後、狭心症で血管が収縮しているため血管を広げる必要があります。このときに利用されるのが、バルーンです。血管の中で広げることで血官自体を広げる効果があります。しかし、人によってはバルーンで血管を広げても圧迫感を感じる場合があります。このときに活用するのがステントです。バルーンで血管を広げた後、ステントを使って固定をします。これにより圧迫感などの症状は改善します。しかし、ステントにはデメリットがあります。狭心症には再発が多いと言われています。特にステントは血管の組織ではないため、ステント部分から血管の詰まりができ、狭心症の原因になると考えられています。このため、狭心症などの心臓の疾患を持つ方は、年に一度、総合病院などの医療機関で詳しい検査を行っています。また、狭心症の治療に使われる薬としてアダラートがあります。心筋の緊張を和らげたり、冠動脈の内腔を広げる働きを持った薬で、ジェネリック薬もあります。ただし、薬の効果が強く、副作用のリスクもある薬なので、医師との相談が必要な薬品になります。狭心症などの心臓の疾患は年々、増加傾向にあります。これに伴い、医療も進歩し、様々な治療法が誕生しています。患者が治療を選択しやすい環境が整っています。TAGS:疾患
