Experimental Economics Laboratory Experiential learning in all programs focuses on the application of economics in industry, policy and research. Our curriculum emphasizes hands-on experiences in the UT Experimental Economics Laboratory, applied data work, and, decision-making based on economic analysis. Greer Seminar Series Our innovative research environment facilitates collaboration among students and faculty to advance knowledge of fundamental, applied and policy relevant research topics. Students and faculty participate in seminars and publish research in highly ranked academic journals. Knoxville Economics Forum Our department engages with a broad audience on economic and policy issues. The Knoxville Economics Forum, is a non-profit organization dedicated to the open discussion of economic policy issues. Faculty and students regularly participate in policy discussion through public media and policy panels. Internationally Recognized Research CentersHaslam economics professors conduct research at the Boyd Center for Business and Economic Research, as well as the Howard H.
